"Rock, paper scissors!" They all sang.

The group had gathered at the playground Jaebyul had spotted, all of their bags piled up in the middle of their little circle as Jaebyul and Namjoon sat on the swings, Yeongsu having claimed Namjoon's lap.

The plan had been to hang out at the playground, gossip about their teachers and help each other out with certain subjects of the mid terms that were coming up. Namjoon would help the third years and Jimin the second years. Jaebyul, the only first year, simply cheered them on and listened in absentmindedly.

Unfortunately the tteokbokki and constant talking had all of their throats feeling parched, thus enticing a rock paper scissors tournament to determine who would be doomed to take all of their orders and make the trip to the closest convenience store to get them some refreshments.

"Ah damn it," Jungkook mumbled along with a short string of curse words.

The rest of the group chuckled as they told their orders to Jaebyul for her to write them down on a piece of post-it note.

"Here you go oppa, thanks for your service!" She teased, slapping the note right in the middle of his forehead.

"Yeah, yeah whatever," Jungkook said between his teeth, snatching the piece of paper and stomping away, hands deep inside his pockets.

"Jungkook is so moody," Hoseok joked once he was out of ear shot.

"He's gotten much better recently though," Yeongsu said, glancing at Jimin, who stood behind Jaebyul to rock her wing gently. "I guess someone has been doing a good job at taming him."

Jimin giggled, rolling his eyes at the now constant teasing he had been subject to since Yeongsu had found out about his and Jungkook's relationship.

"How did you two even start dating?" Hoseok asked. "I never saw you guys hang out together before."

Jimin shrugged his shoulders, eyes darting up to the cloudy sky to recall his first memories of meeting Jungkook.

"We found a box of kittens near his place, and he helped me bring them back to my place. He's been coming over to visit ever since," Jimin said.

"Yeah he does come over often," Jaebyul said. "Feel like I've seen him sneak up to your room a few times."

"You've been to his place before?" Namjoon asked.

"Mhm," She nodded. "I take self defense classes with his dad."

"So how long have you guys been dating?" Yeongsu asked. "Because I think Jungkook's been having a crush on you for a while now."

"I think it's been about a month?"

"Who would've thought Jungkook would get himself such a fine man," Yeongsu joked.

"Speaking of him, where is he, it's been a while since he left no?"

Jungkook jogged back to the playground, looking down into the thin plastic bag to make sure he had everything. He wasn't looking in front of him, and didn't notice the boy walking right at him.

Both of them bumped into each other rather harshly, causing Jungkook to drop the bag and for the bottles to go rolling around on the sidewalk.

"Ah sorry," Jungkook mumbled as he stood up, offering a hand to help the boy up.

The boy was a lot lighter than he had anticipated, so he ended up pulling a little too hard, making him crash into his body again.

"My god," the boy said, rubbing his nose gently.

"I'm so sorry," Jungkook said again, bending down to examine the damage done. "You okay?"

The boy hummed, pushing him away slightly. He seemed familiar, but Jungkook couldn't quite place it. He was a little bit shorter than Jungkook, but his proportions were so good he could easily pass as a model, with lean long legs, broad shoulders, and a small, cute face that appealed to the current korean beauty standards perfectly. He bent down to pick up the bottles from the ground, snapping Jungkook out of his daze. Both of them retrieved all the drinks, but unfortunately the plastic bag had ripped.

Both boys looked at each other awkwardly, and it was decided in an unspoken agreement, not without a sigh from the stranger, that they would both carry the drinks in their arms.

"Sorry about that," Jungkook mumbled.

"Don't worry about it, I don't have anything better to do," the boy said.

Jungkook nodded, feeling his phone buzz into his pocket.

"Aren't you going to answer that? We can stop if you want."

"It's fine," Jungkook said. "It's probably just my boyfriend complaining that the drinks aren't there yet."

"Boyfriend?"

"Mhm, my boyfriend." Jungkook said, looking down at his shows with a shy smile.

"He must be pretty cute for you to look like a lovesick puppy." the boy joked.

"He is," Jungkook said, finally realising he was being rude.

"I'm Jungkook by the way, just realised I never mentioned that. What's your name?"

"Minjung."

"Nice to meet you then, Minjung."

The boy nodded as he laughed, just in time for Yeongsu to come running around the corner.

"Yah! There you are," he said, " we were getting worried you were taking so much time to-"

He stopped talking as soon as he laid his eyes on the boy next to Jungkook.

"Well shit Kookie, what is it with you and meeting hot guys," he joked, taking all the soda bottles from Minjung's hold. "Come on now, we were just about to go to the internet café"

Minjung laughed shyly, but the endearing sound was cut by the sound of his own phone ringing in his pocket.

"Oh sorry guys, it would have been awesome to hang out but my mom just called, another time?"

"Of course!" Yeongsu smiled. "We'll see you around."
