"Thanks mom." Jimin mumbled through the rice ball his mother had just shoved in his mouth, then placing a sloppy kiss on her cheek.

"Have a nice day sweetheart, i love you." The woman said, leaning against the doorframe of their house as she slapped his backpack to push him out of the door. She waved him off as he trotted his way to his school bus that awaited at the corner of the street.

Jimin absolutely despises school.

Well, not exactly. He loves learning and being surprised by the vast knowledge the world holds, what he hates are the people at school.

"Yah! if it isn't little mister nerd." A voice yelled from the very back of the bus.

He was the very first reason Jimin hated school.

Jyu Leemin, an arrogant prick who seemed to have the most fun out of teasing and bullying everyone he found to be weaker than he was.

Of course, it didn't always land on Jimin, and for that he was dreadful. He knew he could put up with the boy's insults and shoves, but others might not. Bullying someone could destroy them to their core, Jimin knew that all too well.

"Whose dick are you gonna' suck today huh? Mr Sung perhaps, that's how you get all those good grades right?" Another voice added.

And that was his second second reason, Kim Hanseol, the most self centered brat Jimin had ever met.

Those two were the worst scums he had ever met in his school, of course, there were other honorable mentions, but those two being in his class, made things a lot worse.

They were constantly reprimanded by the teacher for being disrespectful to both their piers and the school staff, though no one ever took action to stop the bullying. His classmates didn't seem to care about the constant slander, and if they did, they were doing a very good job at turning a blind eye.

Probably because they were scared of being targeted next, Jimin couldn't be mad at them for that.

Although Jimin hated the both of them with a burning passion, he had gotten used to all their remarks in regards of his grades and many other subjects they thought would offend him. He simply pushed his golden framed glasses further up his nose and hid his eyes behind his bangs, just like he always did.

The black haired boy took a seat in one of the everlasting empty seats of the front of the bus and took his headphones out of his backpack, putting them over his head and tuning out the loud chatters of students that crowded the bus.

He sighed, leaning his head on the side of the bus and looking at the small houses of the old part of town fade into larger building as they neared the center. His eyes drooped and he slowly dozed off.

***

Jungkook despises school.

Well, not exactly. He loves the people there, what he hates is studying and sitting through long hours of boring knowledge.

He made his way to the school bus before it could reach the shabby apartment building in which he lived with his father, trotting through the parking lot to the other side of the road, where other students were currently boarding the bus.

As soon as he stepped into the bus, two of his best friends yelled out to him.

"Yah! Kook-ah!" Yelled the older of the two, waving his hands over dramatically from his seat in the middle of the bus.

He chuckled, walking his way towards them and sitting in the seat in front of them.

"Morning guys." He smiled, executing their usual handshakes.

"Morning Jungkook, finally decided to go to school the lazy way?" His childhood friend Seokjin asked, referring to how he usually went to school by bike.

"Didn't have a choice, got a flat tire." He mumbled, settling with his elbows on the seat as he sat on his knees facing the back of the bus and looking at the couple that sat behind him.

"You can always crash at his place. Seokjin made too much food last night and we still have some leftovers." Hoseok smiled, somehow always finding a way to make people forget about their problems.

"That's cool but I don't want to third wheel on your Friday movie nights." Jungkook answered, flicking Hoseok's forehead.

His two best friends had been together for as long as he could remember. Ever since Seokjin had moved in the apartment a few doors appart from his, when Jungkook was still in elementary, he had always been openly homosexual.

It had shocked Jungkook at first, being from a conservative family, he had always seen it as unnatural and harmful. His father forbid him from seeing Seokjin, so he always thought of the boy as someone with a disease he didn't want to catch.

But after being stuck in countless awkward elevator rides and being invited more than once to play Mario Kart (something he could never refuse), he'd slowly learned Seokjin was actually a sane human being, although it still made him uncomfortable to be too close.

He'd eventually gotten used to it through the years, and when Seokjin had introduced him to his boyfriend, Hoseok, back in middle school, he hadn't minded it at all.

Now it was just natural for him to hang out with the bickering couple, that he now considered to be his closest friends and official video games rival.

"Hey Jungkook! You ready for the competition next week?" Asked Leemin, one of his teammates.

"Of course." Jungkook assured, confident that he would win the Boxing competition that would be held the following week.

He shook hands with Leemin, greeted Hanseol and some other boys from the Multi Combat Sport Club of which he was captain.

Jungkook was well known in the school, both for his raging good looks and his astonishing skill set as the captain of the MCSC. Some of the tournaments had been held in the school's Gym, which had of course boosted the club's popularity, especially because both boys and girls could enter.

He was one of the most well known second years, everyone knew of his name (though few had the guts to actually talk to him when he was constantly surrounded by tall and fit guys who were all just as good in combat as he was).

Despite being very friendly with his close friends, he could come off as aggressive and rude to others who talked to him for the first time, especially due to his tall height and hard features.

"Alright kids this is it!" The driver yelled from his seat as per usual.

A/N 2.0:

well? What did you think of this very first chapter?

This story will be a lot more focused on character development and "plot", if you can even call it that,
instead of just fluff like some of my other stories have been. Hope you'll like it nonetheless :)
