"Jungkook-ah, you've been very absent these past few days, care telling mom and dad where you've been?" Taehyung asked from the couch as he and his brother watched a drama together.
"I was at Jimin's," Jungkook said, rolling his eyes at his friend's attempt to play house. "You know that."
"Of course, your boyfriend..." taehyung teased, still not used to his train reck of a friend being in a serious relationship, with a hottie like Jimin at that.
"Yes, my boyfriend, b o y f r i e n d," he joked, stressing the word, "what're you guys watching?"
"Love sugar," Yoongi answered, sitting across Taehyung on the couch, both of them sharing a fuzzy blanket.
"Is it good?" Jungkook asked, sitting down on the couch in front of both of them.
"Very cheesy," taehyung said, "but we love it."
Jungkook nodded, looking at the screen under the watchful eyes of both brothers behind him.
Their friend had been so trapped into his toxic ideals of masculinity that he was unable to let a pink bandaid rest on his skin, and now here he was, watching sappy teen dramas that were 'definitely meant for 12 year old girls.'
Taehyung and Yoongi both glanced at each other, then at their impromptu roommate, as if to make sure they weren't dreaming.
They weren't, Jungkook was actually becoming a decent guy.
"Oh by the way, Hoseok is coming over," Jungkook said.
"Hoseok?" Yoongi asked, wondering how small the world could be for him to constantly run into his ex.
"Mhm, a friend from school."
"You bring friends from school now? You have friends in school," Taehyung teased, earning himself a slap on the thigh from Jungkook.
"Settle down kids," Yoongi mumbled.
And the two broke apart, both of them snickering like little kids before the doorbell from their appartement complex rang.
"Guess that's Hobi-hyung, I'll be in your room Tae," Jungkook said, standing up.
"Yeah, yeah, have fun," Taehyung said.
Jungkook quickly walked to the door, opening it to see his old friend Hoseok, looking a little less cheerful than usual.
He decided not to comment on it, inviting the older in and asking him about exams, handing him a pair of slippers and leading him to Taehyung's room. They set up the switch and started playing super smash bros, their small talk quickly dying out.
"So..." Jungkook hesitated, "what's wrong?"
Neither of them took their eyes off the screen, both still very invested in the video game.
"I just-... I miss Jin."
Jungkook sighed, he had been excepting that.
"Why don't you go talk to him?" He asked gently.
"Because I'm tired of always making the first step! It's like he doesn't even want to get back together!" Hoseok said.
