"Park Jimin I swear to the heavens above if you do not have a good explanation for this-" Jimin's mother, Chanseol, roared as she burst through the doors of the police station.
"Honey, please calm down..." her husband tried to reason her, hesitantly placing a hand on her shoulder.
She ripped it away, continuing to stomp her way towards her son, grabbing ahold of his ear before he could even turn around to face her, squeezing it painfully.
As soon as she saw his face, the worry and anger seemed to dissipate from hers. Clearly the fight had been reciprocated.
She turned towards the boy sitting next to him, recognising the friend Jimin had been bringing home.
"Jungkookie?" She asked, bewildered, looking back to her son again. "You two fought?"
"It was just some friendly banter mom, don't-" Jimin said, quickly swallowing his words with a yelp as she twisted his ear.
"It was just some friendly banter Mrs Park, no need to worry." Jungkook repeated, glancing at Jimin smugly.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry," She said, turning back to her son with a voice suddenly menacing. "Apologise."
"I'm sorry Jungkookie," Jimin said teasingly, earning a chuckle from his lover.
Chanseol glanced between the two, noting that there was clearly no animosity between them, and finally letting go of Jimin's ear with a relieved sigh.
"Would you like to join us for dinner then? You haven't been around in a while, we'll have Jimin cook as an apology." She said. "Where are your parents?"
Jungkook smiled politely.
"Oh they won't be coming, so I would love to," he said.
He was about to stand up and leave when the police officer in front of him asked him to stay seated.
"Your parent will be here soon," he said simply.
Cold dread washed over Jungkook as he looked at Jimin, panicked. He hadn't seen his father since running away and stealing his money, but judging from the henchmen he had sent to beat him up, he doubted his father wanted to see him for anything but money.
"Can I just leave now?" He asked nervously. "I'll see them at home tonight anyway."
The cop chuckled.
"Yah kid, don't try to lie, it's not going to work." He said, tapping his hand down on the papers in front of him and lifting one up to show him.
Surely enough, Jungkook's passport photo was printed over it, along with his name and a number to call.
"You're on our missing child list," the cop said with a gentle smile. "So I can't let you go without your guardian."
Jungkook swallowed thickly, looking back to Jimin. He quickly stood up, grabbing onto Jimin's hand and pulling him into the bathroom before anyone had the time to stop either of them.
"Calm down," Jimin said gently, letting Jungkook wrap his arms around his waist and rest his head against the crook of his neck. "My parents and I will stay until your dad arrives and we can figure it out."
Jungkook nodded wordlessly, nuzzling into the comfort of Jimin's familiar sent, relaxing slightly at the feeling of his short fingers running through his hair.
"What do I do Jimin-ah..." He croaked. "I don't want to see him."
"I know you don't." Jimin whispered, holding Jungkook close.
The two stayed silent for a few seconds, before they broke their embrace and looked into each other's eyes.
Jimin pulled him closer by the back of his neck, gently pressing his lips against Jungkook's in a sweet kiss. Jungkook moulded his lips into the dips of Jimin's, moving them slightly, before breaking away and leaning his forehead against Jimin's.
"Thanks," Jungkook said.
"Mhm," Jimin hummed. "And don't worry, if anything happens you can always stay with us. I'm sure my parents won't mind, you're my boyfriend after all."
"Do they know? About us?" Jungkook asked.
"No," Jimin said, arms draped around Jungkook's shoulders as the younger held his waist. "I'm not really hiding it though."
"I see..." Jungkook whispered, still clearly worried about his father.
Jimin leant up to kiss his eyelid gently, before pulling him into one last hug.
"We got this Jungkookie, we're a team, remember?" Jimin whispered, a soft smile pulling at his features.
Jungkook nodded into his shoulder, savouring the moment with one last squeeze before letting go.
The two came out of the bathroom again.
"Secret meeting finally over?" Jaesung teased.
The two boys nodded, before Jimin felt Jungkook still next to him.
He quickly looked over to him, before following his gaze to meet the eyes of the person who had just entered through the double doors of the police station.
A tall woman, with long hair falling behind her shoulders. She had a rather wide build, probably because of the shoulder pads of her blazer. Sure in her step as her heals resonated around her. Her powerful aura that exuded power and wealth took over the entire room, before Jungkook's voice snapped Jimin out of his daze.
"Mom?"
