(Grace's Pov)
----------
*Beep beep beep*
Ugh. Why. I don't want to get upppp. Whatever. I climbed out of bed and started getting ready for the day. Monday mornings are always ruff for me. Actually, all morning are.I went downstairs for breakfast and shoved some bread into the toaster. I yawned. Wow, I'm really tired, must be because I woke up in the middle of the night....
"Gracie!" my mom smiled as she walked into the kitchen.
"Hey mom" I smiled back.
"How did you sleep?" she asked.
"Not that well, I had another one of those dreams." I said.
"Do you remember it?" my mom asked.
"No. I can never remember my dreams," I answered.
"I know what you should do! You should get a dream journal!" she smiled excitedly?
"A what???" I asked.
"A dream journal. As soon as you wake up in the morning, you write down your dreams. You will be able to see if you dreams are connected together. It's pretty cool!" She answered.
"You have one?" I asked.
"I used to. I still have it but I don't write in it anymore, too many bad dreams," my mom said staring at the floor.I know what she means. When I was about 6, my dad passed away. He was driving home from work and was mad about something. He was about halfway home when he crashed. My mom continues to have dreams about him, but can never handle it. I have dreamed about my dad before, but not often. I don't remember him well. I wish I did.
Pop! My toast flew out of the toaster. I quickly grabbed it and started eating. My mom had some cereal. No one talked. There was a greyness cast around our minds. We quietly ate as the sun started shining through the kitchen windows.
