(Grace's Pov)
We ran towards the bikes as fast as we could. Well, I looked like an injured antelope when I ran with my sore feet, but you get the picture. We arrived at the house and a nice lady greeted us. She had short red curly hair. She smiled surrounded by all sorts of random stuff. There was everything at that garage sale! We asked her if we could buy the bikes.
"Sure no problem! I didn't think I would actually be able to sell these. Thank you!" She smiled. Simon handed her $10 that left him with only a few dollars left.
"No thank you!" Simon said politely.
"Yeah, they are just what we need!" I smiled.
"Ok, have fun," she said a little confused. She looked down at the small kid bikes. I realized they wouldn't be perfect, but they will still be good. It will be fun to ride them.
We pedalled for a while alongside each other. We couldn't go very fast in these kid bikes, but it was still way better than walking. We were getting closer and closer to where we needed to be. Then all of the sudden, a little girl came running up past us. Her blonde hair bounced in short curls. She was very upset looking. She clutched a teddy bear and had a small backpack. She looked strangely familiar, but not. It was a weird case of déjà-vu. She ran past us without a word shedding tears. I wonder who she is?
I looked up at the sky, and surprisingly, it was getting dark. Has it really been that long? This day, well dream day, whent by like a flash! My stomach growled. Right we haven't had dinner. Wait.... Night... But in a dream... Are we supposed to sleep? I yawned. Where are we supposed to sleep?!
"You tired Grace?" Simon asked slowly pedalling up to me. I nodded and yawned again. Simon led the way to a nearby bench. (A/N: Holy cow there are a lot of benches where she lives!) We parked our new bikes in the bike rack next to the bench. Hopefully no one steals them! I shivered as the sun was almost gone.
"Are you cold?" Simon asked concerned.
"No, I'm alright," I said even though I wasn't.
"You sure?" He asked with a goofy grin. He knew I was lying. I didn't mean to but he's just done so much for me lately, I didn't want him to do more.
"No," I giggled. Simon unzipped his hoodie and wrapped one half around me and the other around him.
"Thank you" I thank end him. I was instantly a lot warmer. After a few minutes, I fell asleep and woke up in my bedroom. Then I remembered something. The dance is exactly one week today! I still need to buy a dress!
