27) The Dance

(Grace's Pov)
I sat in front of my mirror in my bedroom curling my hair. I am so bad at using my curling iron. I don't curl it often because I usually burn myself. I checked the time and I have 45 minutes left before the dance. I applied minimal makeup and got my dress on. I looked really pretty. I grabbed a little purse that matched my outfit. It was white. I was really excited but also really nervous. Since I had some extra time, I decided to text Eva.

"Hey" I typed.
"Hi! Almost ready?" Eva asked.
"Yup. Just picking my shoes." I answered and grabbed a pair of low white heels.
"I can't wait!" Eva typed.
"Me too! See you there!" I answered.
"Yeah :) lol" Eva texted back.

I put down my phone and thought. What was so funny? Oh well. I heard the a knock at the door and froze. I ran downstairs trying really hard not to trip in my heels. I looked through the little hole in the door and saw a blurry image of Simon. He's here!!! I took a deep breath and opened the door.

"Hi," Simon said.
"Hi," I said back not knowing what to say.
"Wow! You look, amazing!" Simon SIAD looking at my pale pink dress.
"Thanks, you too," I said admiring his tux. OMG HE HAS A TUX!!!! I didn't notice right away but he looked so good!
"Let's go," Simon said and I closed the door. He then took my hand and we walked down the driveway. I swear my mom was watching us through a window somewhere.

"SURPISE!" Eva yelled jumping out from behind bush. Jason was by her side.
"Eva!" I laughed and gave her a hug.
"ONWARDS!" I commanded and we all walked towards the school. It took about 10 minutes but it was fun. We talked and talked about everything. When we finally got to the school, we ran into the gym.

"Woah! This is so cool!" I looked around at all the decorations in the gym. I didn't even look like the gym anymore. It looked, beautiful! Lots of people were already there drinking punch and snacking on the millions of random food everywhere. There was so many pretty colours everywhere, not just from the decorations, but all the dresses of the inter girls.

Me, Eva, Simin and Jason all ran to the food first, of course. We all grabbed plates and starting pilling the food on our plates. We the sat on one of the benches that were around the gym and ate. It was really fun. After we were done, the music was getting louder. We all went and danced. I have to admit, Simon wasn't the best dancer, but that's fine. He looked funny dancing to all the pop music and stuff. Suddenly, a slow song came on.

"Ummm, do you want to dance?" Simin asked with a shy voice.
"Yes of course!!" I said and we went and started to dance.
"Oops! Sorry!" Simin said as he stepped in my foot.
"It's okay," I laughed. We continued to dance and I saw Eva and Jason close by dancing as well. Eva smiled at me and I smiled back. This was amazing. I looked up at Simon's face and smiled. He pulled me closer and we continued to dance.

---Later---
The dance was almost over and we were about to start walking home.
"Bye Eva! Bye Jason!" I waved as I saw them leave hand in hand. They waved back.
"Hey, I'll come with you," Simon said.
"Ok! Cool!" I said and we left the gym together. We were getting near my house and we stopped for a moment. We looked up at the night sky and the shining stars.
"Aren't the stars so beautiful?!" I said.
"Not as beautiful as you," Simon smiled.
"Th-" I started to say but I was cut off. Skin kissed me. It felt way more amazing then the one in the dream. I hugged him and then I pulled away. I saw sparkles in his eyes and I knew that this was definitely not a dream. It was real.

(A/N: IT'S DONE! Kinda cheesy ending but it's cute. I still don't know if there will be a second book but I'm pretty sure there will be.... )
