(Simon's Pov)
I walked straight to my first class of the day, Art! This is my favourite class and now I have two reasons to enjoy it! First of all, I love drawing and painting and stuff and second, it's some of my 2 classes with Grace. I really want to ask Grace to the spring dance but I'm really nervous about it. I don't know if I should ask her today or not, and how. Just as I was trying to come up with a plan, Grace walked in. She had curled her hair, which she doesn't often do. Is that a sign for something?
(Grace's Pov)
"Good morning," I cheerfully said to Simon.
"Yeah, good morning," he said back. We sat there not knowing what to say. Then the bell rang.
"Good morning class! Today I want you to draw or paint the person sitting next to you. You can do so however you want but make sure it's in colour and you capture their facial features as well as you can!" Mrs. Vera smiled. She grabbed out one of her many sketchbooks and started to draw as well. She has at least 10 of those things pilled on her desk, no joke!
Me and Simon started our portraits of each other. We both chose to go the path of drawing rather than painting. We barley talked during the class. We were both in deep focus. I was exited, but also for some reason worried to see Simons drawing of me. Simon than started staring in my eyes.
"Umm, what are you doing?" I laughed nervously.
"Oh, sorry. I was trying to see what color your eyes are," Simon apologized. I'm wondering if he was doing more than that. My eyes are a very dark blue, almost purplish color. Maybe he will ask me to the dance sooner rather than later!
I know that blue/purple is not a normal eye color, but I was born with it. Apparently, since my mom has brown eyes and my dad has blue eyes, they were supposed to be brown because how genes and stuff work. Somehow, the two colours mixed and created an indigo color. My eyes are beautiful, so I can't blame Simon for looking at them.
After about half an hour, me and Simon were just finishing up our portraits of each other. We had not looked at each other's yet at all. I was excited to see. When we were finished, we both held the drawing so that the other person could not see it.
"1, 2, 3!" we counted and turned our paintings to reveal them to each other. Simon eyes dazzled and mine started watering. They were both so beautiful. Simon looked into my eyes and smiled. There is no way he is leaving the school today without asking to the dance. I know he will!
(A/N: That was a longggg chapter WOOOP! Do you think he will ask her next chapter or not??? Wait and seee!)
