(Simon's Pov)
----------"Grace?" I said wondering why she was staring at my painting. I wasn't bothered by it at all, just a little confused. Grace then looked at me dumbfounded. What was she thinking?
"Simon? Were you..." she started to ask. She was cut off by the bell. She quickly gathered up all her stuff and bolted out of the classroom. I already knew what she wanted to ask about.
Last night, I had a dream that I was all alone in a huge almost endless maze that was constantly moving and changing. I then saw someone in the maze so I tried to follow them. I wanted to know who they were. I was also kind of scared in that maze all by myself. It must've been her.
I had written about all this in my dream journal. Yes, I know it's kind of a girl thing, but ever since I was a toddler I have been having strange dreams, that I can remember for a little while. I can almost control them. I have been trying to master this for awhile. Could I have possibly travelled to Grace's dream? Or had she traveled to mine?
I kept wondering and thinking as I was walking to my next class. I finally got there and sat down. I couldn't get the questions out of my mind. I finally decided I had to Grace during lunch.
-----Later-----
(Grace's Pov)
----------This has been bothering me all day! I have to find Simon and ask him what the heck is going on!
(Simon's Pov)
----------I wonder where Grace would be during lunch? I have to talk to her about this!
(Grace's Pov)
----------I wonder where he is?! I looked around carrying my lunch in one of those brown paper bags. Ahh! I bumped into someone.
"Oh. Hi Grace." Simon said.
"Hi Simon." I said.
"I have to talk to you about this dream I had!" I said dragging Simon towards the nearest bench. We sat down and started talking and eating.
"So," I started. "I was having a dream that I was in this maze that was constantly moving and changing. I got to the end, but then it suddenly blocked itself off and everything went dark. Then someone came up behind me and," I explained but I was cut off.
"I think that was me. I had the same dream. I was in the maze and saw someone. I followed them because I wanted to know who it was. I didn't know it was you until I got close enough," Simon answered.
"That is so weird," I said bitting into my sandwich.
"I know right," Simon said.
"For some reason I was hoping the person following me would be someone else," I said staring at my shoes like my mom does when she thinks of him.
"Who?" Simon asked looking concerned.
"I was hoping it would be.... my dad. I never see him anymore. He left us," I said looking up at the sky. I tried so hard not to cry.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." Simon answered. He reached over and put his hand on my shoulder. I pushed it off.
"It's alright," I said carefully whipping the tears developing in my eyes.
"If you need to talk to anyone..." Simon offered.
"No thank you. I'm gonna go. See you later," I said getting up and running off.
(Simon's Pov)
----------Poor Grace. I had no idea! I have to tell her that I can try and help her see her dad again!
----------
(A/N: Two updates in one day?! Awesome! Also, should I start a second book, or not? If yes, what should it be about?)
