(Grace's Pov)
It was lunchtime and I was sitting on a bench, all by myself, as usual. I can't eat lunch with Eva because she's in the drama play so we don't often get to eat lunch together. I frowned. I cheered up when I saw Simon coming. He sat down next to me. We said hi to each other, but that was pretty much it for a while. I was silent, but inside, I was freaking out. Was he gonna ask me or not?
"Hey Grace?" Simon asked.
"Yeah?" I asked. OMG IS IT HAPPENING?!
"Do you want to got to the spring dance with me?" Simon asked with hopeful eyes.
"Yes!!!" I smiled. I would've hugged him, but I didn't really want anyone to see. Simon sighed with relief. Was he worried that I would say no? How could I?!
"Do you want an Oreo?" I asked offering him one.
"Yes! Thank you!" He smiled as I put the cookie in his hand. He ate it and smiled.
The rest of lunch was pretty awkward. We didn't talk much. I was all bubbly inside. I was so happy I would be going to the spring dance with Simon. Oh no! That means I have to tell my mom. That will be fun...
