(Grace's Pov)
----------Ugh. Why does everyone think I like Simon!? Even my mom does now! Why?
"Mom I do not like Simon," I said frowning.
"Ok, who is he though?" She asked.
"Well. He is in my art class and my math class. He can control his dreams. Today at lunch he tried to teach me how. We are FRIENDS," I emphasized on the word friends.
"Well that's cool!" My mom said.
"Yeah," I said returning to my room.
"Dinner is at 5:30!" My mom yelled back at me. I gave her the thumbs up and whent inside my room. Tonight will be interesting. I wonder what will happen in the dream. It's no ordinary dream. It's special. It should have a name! No, that's lame. I continued thinking more and more. Will I actually be able to see my dad again? Or is Simon lying? I don't know, but I believe him.
-----Later-----
I was in the dream. I looked around. Wait? I walked around in a circle as I did so. I saw Simon.
"SIMON I DID IT! I CAN MOVE!" I yelled jumping in a circle around him.
"Come on then, let's go!" He said leading the way down the golden brick path. I skipped as I hummed the song, from "The Wizard of Oz". You know which one.
"Can you see that over there?" Simon asked pointing at something really far away.
"Yes, but what is that?" I asked squinting my eyes.
"It's a portal to an alternate universe of our planet. There, we will be able to find your dad. It won't be easy." Simon explained.
"Cool!" I smiled. We walked for quite a long time along the "yellow brick road". At last, we reached the portal.
The portal was really huge. It was beautiful. Wind was blowing out from it. It blew my long brown hair all over my face. Simon's somewhat long black hair did as well, but it did not cover his adorable blue eyes. WAIT WHAT??? NOPE!
"Ready?" Simon asked approaching the portal.
"Yeah," I answered but I was actually not ready at all. Simon held my hand.
"Jump on three. 1, 2, 3!" He yelled. We jumped into the portal.
