Chapter 6

I could be having the worst day in the world, but the moment I see you that all changes.

I caught clay staring at me a little too long but I didn't say anything maybe he was looking at my phone I mean I did have Twitter open. We went out the door and got into his car I immediately saw the aux and grabbed it.

"Oh god" clay said "what?" Y/n asked confused "you better play me some good music none of that country bull shit" clay said in a happy tone it made me laugh "well your in luck because I hate country" "good" we were both laughing at this point. "Put your seatbelt on" clay said calmly "oh shit my bad" did clay really just tell me to put my seatbelt on? That's so sweet. Not even my parents would remind me of that.

The drive to McDonald's was very calm I played my playlist clay clearly liked my music since he knew ever word to all the songs I played. We were laughing the whole time singing together... well i don't know if singing is the right word more screaming out hearts out. I couldn't stop laughing neither could clay one song in particular came on (play line without a hook by Ricky Montgomery)

"I love this song" clay said quietly "me too" we both started singing the lyrics to the song this time less of a screaming mess more of us enjoying the song while singing nicely.

"Oooo my favorite part is coming" clay said quickly "really mine too" clay then started singing softer "oh baby I am a wreck when I'm without you" I started humming along with him. "I need you here to stay" clay sang I started to sing along as well "I broke all my bones that day I found you crying at the lake" we sang together peacefully "was it something I said to make you fell like you're a burden, oh and if I could take it all back I swear that I would pull you from the tide" I never knew clay could sing this well.

His voice was amazing.

Clays POV

Y/n and I were singing together and it sounded amazing her voice was god like. "Darling, when your fast asleep I've seen this person watching me" y/n and I sang I got caught up listening to her voice I stopped singing and just listened to her "saying is it worth it, is it worth it, tell me is it worth it" she was amazing. I started singing along again

"Because there is something and there is nothing and there is nothing in between, and in my eyes there is a tiny dancer watching over me he's singing" we sang "oh her it comes my favorite part" y/n spoke. Shocked i said "wait me too this is my favorite part" We have the same favorite part. I love it.

"She's a she's a lady, and I'm just a boy he'a singing she's a she's a lady and I'm just a line without a-" y/n started to take over singing louder "oh baby, I am a wreck when I'm without you I need you here to stay broke all my bones that day I found you crying at the lake" she sang. I started to take over seeing she was running out of breath.

"Oh was it something I said to make you feel like your a burden" I sang. Y/n joined back in on the last line "oh and if I could take it all back I swear that I would pull you from the tide" the song finished as we pulled into McDonald's damn. That may have been the best moment of my life.

Is it too soon to be falling in love.

3rd person / y/n's POV

Clay ordered two large fries and payed at the window they drove to the nearest gas station clay got out "I think I'm just gonna stay in the car if that's alright" y/n said "yeah that's fine do you want anything" Clay asked "no I'll just steal some of whatever you get" y/n said with a smile clay laughed "alright I'll be back" "okay"

Clay got back with some hot Cheetos two bottles of coke and jolly ranchers. "Yum" y/n said as clay got into the car "yep I was hoping you would say that here you go" clay said as he hands y/n a coke and a hand full of blue jolly ranchers.

"All blue?" Y/n questioned "yep the blue ones are the best so I wanted you to have them" clay spoke proudly "oh my god just marry me already" they both started laughing at that comment.

They sat in the parking lot eating their snacks and laughing their butts off to stupid jokes they made. Clay made y/n so happy. She wished this moment could last forever but a last it couldn't once they finished their food clay drove back to their apartment complex.

They got out of the car and walked back to their apartments still making jokes and laughing all the way up the stairs. Once they arrived at y/n's door clay said "this was so much fun y/n we should do it again sometime" "yeah I had a lot of fun I'm basically free whenever to do this again." Y/n said hoping clay would invite her out again "I'm busy for the next two weeks or so I have manhunts and speed runs to film but definitely after that I'll let you know" clay said this made y/n kinda sad but she knew she could still talk to him everyday.

"Okay well I'll talk to you later clay" "okay I- I uh I'll talk to you tomorrow" clay stuttered then walked to his apartment. Y/n walked into her apartment and closed the door. She collapsed on her couch felling the happiest she's felt in a long time.

She wasn't exactly sure when it happened. Or even when it started. All she knew for sure was that right here right now, she was falling hard and she could only pray he was feeling the same way.

Clays POV

I got into my apartment and started freaking out. Did I really almost say 'I love you' I couldn't believe it. We've only known each other a couple days and nick was clearly crushing on her but was it true, do I love her?

I think I'm in love.
