Lava - Angst warning

Blinking open, Kai woke up

White , annoying light made hin scrunched his eyes to adjust with the lightness in the room .

He stayed still ,half-closed eyes there to wander in his mind. Why was he here again? He sighed, mentally.

He looked around a bit ,turning his head,realising no one is in the room but him. An IV bag attached to his hand, 'Not the first time, but i hope it'd be the last' He chuckle bitterly to him self.

He tried to get up and stood on his feet. It seemed that he is luckily enough to walk, thus he ripped of the needle in his hand, not even wincing a bit as if he was used to the pain.

He walked over to the bathroom to take a good look at his horrid self. Pallid skin, heavy bags under the eye, the ugly scars still existed, he smiled a bit ,perhaps he was humoured by himself.

He looked around for clothes other than hospital gown he worn, but found nothing. 'Guess they learnt their lessons from last time' he thought.

He decided to use the water by the sink to act as hair gel to his hair. His naturally puffed hair got put down by the water, making him looked like a short haired girl. If he walked out right now, the other nurses or patients would probably mistaked him for a girl due to his now skinny body composition.

And like that, he walked out.

He avoided any nurses who would recognise him and walked straight to the top floor where everybody in the building was forbidded to go. He crepted into the secret passage only to notice that his only passage was sealed too.

What a bad luck

If there wasn't anywhere else he could go, he might as well just sit on the stairs ,wondering in his own mind. He would be caught if he stepped out of the building again.

"Kai should probably be awake by now," a robotic voice whispered.

The mood is heavy and silent, the team didn't know if they could hold back their tears once they saw Kai again.

The bandages shouldn't be on his wrists

The bandages shouldn't be on his head

His eyes shouldn't be so glassily broken

But yet, they were and the team couldn't reverse the time to undo all those scars he had.

Thud!

"Nya , what's go-"

Kai was not in his bed.

The lack of his presence immediately sent a sense of panick through the team,even the nindroid. Nya yelled at Kai's name and checked on the bathroom ,but he wasn't there.

"Nono.. not again..!" Lloyd trembled

Jay rushed over to soothed his now crying girlfriend, he comforted her to give her reassurance that his brother was fine. But at the same time, he was reassuring himself

Zane exited the room almost instantly when it happened to inform and ask the nurses and doctors about the brunette's whereabout. Lloyd silently sobbed and prayed that his brother didn't do anything to himself again.

Cole ran in hope to search for Kai, he could not afford to lose his loved one's anymore. It hurts.

The sealed passage

Cole thought about that and changed his route to the top floor. Elevator would only slowed him down so he dashed through the stairs.

There he was, almost too peacefully leaned against the wall. Cole panted and panted, he needed sometime to calm himself. Kai must have noticed his presence but still remained silent, I mean who would not have noticed the loud footsteps Cole had been giving?

Cole hugged him, wrapping him tightly in his muscular arms. Not giving a damn care about his crying tears. Kai still remained silent, remained still, he didn't even bothered hugging back but Cole didn't care, as long as Kai was still breathing, heartbeat still beating.

"Please don't scare us again," quivering plea voiced out by Cole. He stared at Kai in his eyes, the ambers he once adored were no longer there. If only he had noticed what had been going on his mind sooner , he would have-!

"it's not your fault..." Kai was like reading his beloved's mind , whispered in a small , tired voice.

Cole listened

Silence wrapped around the atmosphere again before Cole carried Kai in bridal style back to his room. Kai didn't protest, struggle or anything. For once, Cole was glad that his amber jewel was being obedient in his arms.

'Time to calm the others down...'
