LAVA: Since that day (Part 2)

"Let me be with him, Zane, it's not like we found a way to wake him up yet. Atleast... let me be with him , so he won't be so alone,"

"Instead of helping us to search, why won't you help us speed up the process?!" Jay asked quite frantically.

"Didn't you hear what Zane had said?! Zane said his brain is slowly dying since he is not being active. Why not let me enter his mind and help him stay active, atleast in this way you guys won't have to stay up for almost 24/7 to search for cure.."

"But!.."
"No, Cole's right, we have almost little to no progress, we can't guarantee Kai will be fully recovered with no brain damaged  by the time the cure has been found. It's been months, I think some damaged has been done to his brain but we still have more time  and better chances to save Kai if we did Cole's plan."

Pssstt .Few tear drops managed to drop into a frying pan full of bacons and it made Cole returned back from his memory lane.

"Meow?"

Cole wiped away the tears to the other side before turning to Kai.
"It's almost done my little firefly," Cole said in a joyful tone as he carefully take the bacons out and put on the plate.

It's been 45 days, I'm still keeping track of being here with Kai. His kitty state is cute but I want my Kai back. I really do..

Zane guessed that his memory stucked on that day I was hurt. I still don't know why he is a cat in this place, my guess is that it's some kind of a coping mechanism his brain generated? Heh, but it kinda suit him, being a grumpy cat especially on a bad hair day. (Not that I didn't like it tho, he usually becomes quite clingy to me afterward and I love every moment of it)

I'm sorry Kai, you don't deserve this. I wasn't strong enough to protect us back then , and I hate myself for it. Don't worry Kai, I won't let you get hurt again.

"Here you go, bacon is served!" Cole proudly said,putting the plate in front of Kai. He could almost see stars in Kai's eyes. Kai wasted no time as it downed the bacons almost immediately. "Woah,slow down there firefly, there's plenty," Cole patted on Kai's head and sighed contently.

'Why does it feels like I'm forgetting something..? hmmm whatever,bacons is more important than remembering hehe'  Kai shrugged away and continue to eat his bacons happily.
