Nicky seemed to be just fine after a nap.
When he woke up a few hours later he had at first thought it was a dream, but then he saw the real Katherine and he was only a little disappointed to find that it was actually all true.
"Wake up sunshine, you get to come to a party with me." Katherine had told him when she walked into her room. Nicky was tucked into the bed and groaned loudly, trying to pull the covers over his head but a sudden force yanked them off and onto the ground.
Katherine had a smug smile on her face as she laid a tuxedo across the foot of the bed. When he didn't move she put her hand out and tried to move him herself but once again her powers didn't work on him. She huffed in annoyance and instead took his wrist in her hand then tore him out of bed.
"Fuck!" He cursed, hitting the cold wooden floors that left goosebumps in their wake. "I hate you." He flipped her off.
Katherine smiled and returned the gesture, "You've got twenty minutes!"

"Kitty who the hell is this?"
Five asked defensively as they waited for the elevator. Nicky looked down at him and tilted his head before looking back towards Katherine. "Yeah Kat, who's the child?"
Five's eyes narrowed and he took a step towards him but seemed to knock into an invisible wall, courtesy of Katherine. "This is Five, Five this is Nicholas James."
Nicky held his hand out amicably though Five made no attempt to shake it. He awkwardly began to pull his hand back when Five hit the ground holding his head and on the verge of tears. Nicky's eyes widened in panic and he knelt down immediately to help him.
As his hand touched Five's arm he stopped yelling and slowly uncurled from his fetal position. Katherine blinked a few times and watched in wonder as Nicky repeatedly asked if he was alright. She exchanged glances with a few of her siblings before walking over and yanking Five up by his collar.
He huffed at her as he tried to straighten out the nonexistent wrinkles on his coat, finally holding out a hand to firmly shake Nicky's. Five stood beside Katherine and nodded his head towards Nicky as they all packed into the elevator, she simply gave him a wink and a smile.
As Katherine watched the floors pass she felt Five's hand slip into hers.
The mood was ruined by the awful smell produced by Luther. Nicky and Katherine couldn't help but laugh despite the smell and they were the first ones out when the doors slid open.
