Clarke POV:I spent another day in the hospital with Raven. Lexa had brought me work to do so I was busy with homework but I wasn't sleeping well, I hadn't left the hospital since her accident with the exception of going outside for air a few times. I think I was going a little crazy just sitting in here.
"Clarke" I heard someone say as my eyes shot up. I looked up as my eyes fluttered open after getting used to the light. I realized that I fell asleep on Lexa's shoulder by accident. "Oh, I'm sorry," I said, that was really embarrassing.
"It's ok, I don't mind." She said with a smile on her face as she looked down at her hands which were perfectly situated in her lap. I looked around the room and saw that everyone else was sleeping except me and Lexa.
"Lexa, can I talk with you for a moment?" My mom said as she entered the room. She scared the shit out of me because the room was completely silent, I swear she walks on like cat feet or something because she came out of nowhere. I gave Lexa a weird glance and she shot me one back that shows she was clueless to my my mom needed to talk to her.
I watched as they both walk outside of the room.
Lexa POV:
"What is it Ms. Griffin?" I asked when we got outside the doors. "Since we are here, I would like to do some tests to make sure your injuries are healing properly." She said. I just stood in astonishment, unable to say anything as I looked at her. I also didn't really know what to feel.
"You don't have to worry, it will only be me and nobody else will find out I promise." She said, reassuring and I smiled thankfully at her kindness. She didn't have to do that, she could have just let it be if she wanted to.
"Thank you, Dr. Griffin," I said back with a truthful smile. I was externally grateful for her. "Of course sweetie," she said back with a kind smile.
"We can go now if you would like," she said. "Ok, just give me a second" I said and went back into the room.
Clarke ran up to me and put her hands in my face. "Is everything okay?" She said, she seemed worried about me. "I am fine but I need to go," I said, pulling away from her. "Where are you going?" She asked with concern as I stopped to look at her.
"I will tell you when I get back I promise." I said before walking back out the door. I didn't want to tell her in case something went bad. I didn't want her to worry unless there was something to actually worry about.
I met with Abby outside the room and we walked through the hall and into another room. There was a lot of equipment in the room and she ran a CT scan and X-rays in me. We sat in silence as she looked at the results.
I was so nervous, she wasn't speaking and I couldn't read her face as she intently stared at me the scans.
"Ok" she said, facing me. "Your bones have seemed to all healed properly, you have no more swelling and you will be fine." She said as she smiled warmly at me. I let out a big sign in relief. "Thank you Abby, so much." I said, truly meaning it.
She has done more for me than so many others have. I am so thankful to have her in my corner if I ever need it.
We walked back to the room and I had the biggest smile on my face. I opened the door and ran to hug Clarke. I lifted her off the ground and she giggled and laughed at the motion.
"Shhh" I said laughing with her. I looked at the other people in the room and they stirred at the sounds of our laughter but they were still asleep.
"Wait, what happened? Are you ok?" She said looking at me as I put her down. I grabbed her hand and pulled her outside the room so we wouldn't wake the others.
"What is it Lexa?" She said, becoming more serious. "Your mom ran some tests on me to make sure I was ok and I am completely healed, and look" I said, pulling up my shirt slightly with pride.
"The bruise is almost completely gone" she said as her fingers moved across my skin and she looked at it in awe.
"Thank you Clarke" I said, grabbing her hands and looking deep into her eyes. "For what?" She asked looking back up into mine as well.
"You saved me. I haven't been able to take my shirt off in front of anyone in over two years because of my father and what he has done to me. Then I met you, and you helped me get away and escape. Now look at me. You are my savior Clarke Griffin." I said, I could feel the tears forming in my eyes. They were happy tears, not sad tears and I didn't want to push them away, so I let them fall.
"Lexa..." she said before bringing me into a tight hug. Her arms went around my neck and mine went around her back, pulling her as tight as possible. She had to stand on her toes to reach me. My face rested in the crook of her neck and her blonde hair was in my face as I smiled at it.
Abby cleared her throat and me and Clarke pulled away from each other. Clarke immediately pulled her mother into a hug and thanked her.
"Alright I have news so let's go inside." Abby said, pulling away from her daughter. She flashed me a small smile before opening the door.
We walked into the room and everyone started to wake up. Luna was awake and was nudging Raven to get her up. "I have good news Raven!" Abby said excitedly as she walked over to the side of Raven's bed.
"What is it Mama G?" Raven said, half asleep as her eyes tried to focus on Abby. Abby let out a small chuckle at the nickname before continuing.
"You are being discharged tomorrow and we have already seen signs of movement in your left leg." She said and everyone let out a breath that they had secretly been held in since her accident, the breath of uncertainty that clouded their lungs.
I saw that Raven has tears in her eyes and I smiled at her vulnerability that she was showing.
I sat down and Clarke comes to sit next to me after hugging Raven. She places her head on my chest and let's put another breath. "I'm glad she is ok," she says quietly so only I can hear her.
"Me too," I responded and I put my arm around her shoulders to hold her, interlocking her fingers with mine that fell around her.
