"A pity they let the old punishments die. There was a time, detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God, I miss the screaming." Filch said while escorting the 5 to Hagrid's hut. "You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight. He's got a little job to do inside the dark forest." Hagrid appeared with a crossbow, he was sniffling.

"A sorry lot this, Hagrid. Oh, good God, man, you're not still on about that bloody dragon, are you?" Filch asked Hagrid. Hagrid sniffs and sighs "Norbert's gone. Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony." Hagrid was obviously devastated, "Well, that's good, isn't it? He'll be with his own kind." Erin said trying to comfort Hagrid. "Yeah, but what if he doesn't like Romania? What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby, after all."

"Oh, for God's sake, pull yourself together, man. You're going into the forest, after all. Got to have your wits about you." Filch said, "The forest? I thought that was a joke! We can't go in there. Students aren't allowed. And there are...werewolves!" Draco exclaimed scared,

"Well, we wouldn't be here if you didn't tattle on Professor McGonagall!" Erin almost yelled out, she was angry with Draco. First, he didn't greet her during her birthday. Second, he ignored her for months! Lastly, he caused them a total of 200 points, 50 from Slytherin and 150 from Gryffindor! Draco looked at her but didn't say anything. "There's more than werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that." Filch added which made the 5 children more frightful.

Hours passed with them at the forbidden forest, and now they are headed back to their dormitory. Erin and Draco were walking side by side but no one dared to utter a word. Suddenly the stair that they were walking on moved which cause her to lose her balance. She was luckily caught by Draco, once the stair stopped moving the two realized the position they were in.

Erin moved out of Draco's hold and continued walking as if nothing had happened. She admits that she did miss Draco's presence over the past weeks. They were almost near the dungeons when Draco pulled her to face him. "I-" He started but abruptly stopped. Erin raised a brow at him. "I'm sorry," Draco said looking down at the ground, it was rare for Draco to apologize.

Erin was conflicted, she didn't know if she wanted to forgive Draco or be petty and make him work for her forgiveness. He did after all hurt her feelings, caused her to lose 50 points, and insulted the Weasleys, Oliver, and her friends. She had a history of forgiving Draco easily so this time she wanted to be a bit petty. "It doesn't matter Malfoy," She said, it felt and weird and good at the same time to not take the high road.

Draco was surprised at her, she would usually forgive him as soon as he said he's sorry. Erin walked away and entered the dormitory leaving Draco. The blonde boy's mind was boggled, he realized he truly messed up. He went to his room where he saw Blaise and Theodore were still awake.

"What happened? Did you apologize?" Blaise questioned sitting up from his bed. "Yes," Draco said while removing his robe. "Good, this silly thing has gone for long enough. Finally, everything can go back to norm-" Draco cut Blaise off.

"She didn't accept my apology." He said, Theodore's eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean she didn't accept it? She always does! She's Erin, she forgives everyone!" Theo was completely confused; it was very odd of Erin to not forgive someone.

"She said 'It doesn't matter Malfoy' Erin doesn't call me Malfoy. She calls me Draco!" The blonde boy explained to his friend. Blaise wanted to laugh, and Theo couldn't hold his in. They have never seen Draco like this. It was painfully obvious to Blaise that his friend liked Erin, he has read Draco's diary plenty of times to get the idea that Draco was already in love with the girl but he hasn't realized it yet. While Theo was trying not to believe that fact.
