It was the day where the students will be leaving for their Christmas Holiday, Erin went to the great hall to bid goodbye to her friends from Gryffindor. Hermione will also be leaving but Ron and Harry will be staying in the castle.
She walked towards the three carrying gifts for them. They were talking and playing chess when they turned to her. Erin smiled and the gifts to her friends, she gave Ron a large box of sweets, Harry the same since she didn't quite know what to give him, and Hermione a book. The three thanked her, she was then called by Draco who was waiting for her. "I'll see you at the train Hermione," she told her friend and bid goodbye to the two boys.
"Let's go, Blaise and Theodore are already at the station," he said and took a hold of Erin's hand and lead them to the station. Once they arrived she saw Blaise and Theodore already seated in one of the booths by the window. "There you two are! What took so long?" Blaise asked and rested his elbows at the table in-between the benches.
"Sorry, I had to give my presents to Hermione, Ron, and Harry," Erin said and the two nodded but Draco only rolled his eyes. Hours passed and they have finally arrived at Kingcross station. Erin was excited to finally see her family, she saw her parents waiting for her. She wanted to run towards them she remembered her manner so she walked towards them instead and gave them a hug.
"Our little girl has grown so much! Look at her!" Erin's mother gushed. She smiled and looked around and saw her friends being welcomed by other members of their family. Erin was now in muggle London waiting for their family's car. Her cousins were supposed to come and pick them up to go to their manor. When a black car arrived the door was opened and she saw her 3 cousins. Elio the eldest, Eloise the middle child, and Ella the youngest.
Erin and Ella were the same age, only she was 10 months older. "I've missed you guys!" Erin was so delighted to be with her cousins again. They went inside the car and she started chatting with her cousins. They didn't know that wizards actually exist, so she had to be careful when she was sharing anecdotes with them she had to fabricate a few things about her stories.
"How's the boarding school?" Elise asked, from what they were told, Erin attended a prestigious boarding school. "It's great! I made three new friends, they're really nice!" she shared. They soon arrived at the manor. Her cousins and uncle currently reside here, it was originally their grandparent's vacation home but when her uncle moved to the muggle world he permanently stayed here. Erin went to her room and wanted to rest for a while since the travel from Hogwarts was tiring.
The holidays ended fairly quickly. She had received plenty of gifts from her family and close friends, Draco sent her a pair of earrings, it was in the shape of a snake and had emeralds for eyes. It was similar to the cufflinks he had given the three boys. She thought it would be cute for the three to have something that matches with one another. During the new years, they celebrated by putting on a fireworks show, a tradition for the Ambrosius.
But before she is to return to school, her parents held a ball for her birthday. Since she was born on the 12th of January, she will be at school during that time. So her parents had decided to hold the ball in advance. Erin was now walking down the grand staircase of their manor, she was wearing a dark green ballgown with lace long sleeves. She looked down at her guest with a smile, all eyes were on her making the girl conscious and nervous but she gracefully descended down.
Waiting for her at the bottom of the staircase was her parents who were both holding a glass of champagne. She stood beside her father as he began to speak. "Welcome! Thank you for coming! Me and my wife, are thrilled that all of you are here to celebrate the Birthday of our only daughter, Erin. So, enjoy!" Her father raised his glass and so did the guests, the guests all started to mingle and Erin headed to join her friends.
