Erin walked back to the Slytherin common room and headed to her room, to her surprise Draco was inside. "I'm sorry!" the blonde boy blurted out making her roll her eyes. "Look Erin, I didn't know you were there." the boy added.
"It doesn't matter if I was there or not! You shouldn't have called Hermione that!" She exclaimed and closed the door for the others not to hear them. "I'm sorry, ok? What more do you want me to do?" Draco asked. "I want you to actually try changing!" Erin breathed out.
"I understand the fact that you were raised to think that anyone who isn't a pureblood is lesser than you. But that isn't true! Draco I can't change your perception of that but what you can change is how you treat them." She explained to the boy, "Treat them?" he asked as if it was the most confusing thing in the world.
"Yes, treat them. I'm not saying you should be buddy up with them, all I want is that you don't insult them and just stay civil with them." Erin told him, the two remained silent for a while. Erin heard Draco sighed. "Fine," he muttered under his breath. "What?" she asked not fully hearing him. "I said fine. For you, I'll act civil with them." Draco said more clearly.
Erin squealed and stood up to hug Draco, "Yay! you promise?" she asked and pulled away from the hug in which the boy was still in shock. "Uh... Y-Yeah I promise." He stuttered. Erin smiled widely and took hold of Draco's hand to pull him out of her room. "Where are we going?" the boy asked. "We are going to find Blaise and Theo because ever since this morning they have been bugging me about you, and I would very much like it to stop."
As they went through the common room, students' eyes were glued on their hands in each other's grasp. Timothy Riddle was present and shot Draco a glare but he replied to it with a smug smirk. "Maybe they're in the great hall," Draco said to Erin, and the girl nodded the two continued to walk to the great hall hand in hand.
Draco was right, the two were indeed in the great hall. "There you two are!" Blaise exclaimed and his eyes caught the two's hands. "Thank Merlin you two are friends again!" He added. Erin smiled and let go of Draco's hand, she proceeded to sit beside Theodore who was doing his potions preparation. "That's wrong," she said and took a piece of crisp in one of the bowls.
Draco sat down next to Blaise and watched the two, "What?" Theodore asked the girl. "Number 4, you don't need bananas for an antidote for common poisons." She stated and moved closer to the boy so she can properly see his work. "Also on number 9, the girding potion is not brown in color. It's red or green, depends on the color of the dragonfly you have."
"Damn it, your right! Ugh, now I have to start all over again." The boy complained. "Draco can you pass me that scroll?" Theodore asked the boy and pointed towards the scroll next to him. The boy then tossed the scroll on Theo's face making Erin laugh. "What was that for you twat?!" Theo exclaimed but Draco only offered a shrug with a small smile of amusement.
After Theodore and Blaise finished their school works they went to the common room and seated on the couches. They started to chat about what they have noticed so far in their second year in Hogwarts. "I was actually surprised that they installed a bathroom in every room." Erin shared and draped a blanket over her body.
"Have you heard? Bridget and Felix are now apparently a couple." Blaise informed the group. "Really? Didn't her friend Melissa fancied Felix as well?" Erin asked and Blaise nodded. "When she found out she threatened to hex both Bridget and Felix," Blaise added making the group nod. "Speaking of fancies, what is Timothy Riddle's deal? He's been staring at Erin since we got here." Theodore observed.
The three then turned to the young Riddle who was indeed staring at the girl, he smirked and winked making the group turn away. "Why did all of you turn to him! Now he knows we're talking about him!" Theodore scolded the group. "He is popular with the other girls, it's only his first day but 3 girls already professed their love for him," Draco said.
