The four children woke up early the next day to prepare for the inspection. They headed to the library first, "Ugh, it's too early! Can't we have breakfast first at least!" Blaise complained and drowsily followed the group. "Stop complaining Zabini, all of us are hungry." Draco crankily said.

"Someone's not a morning person," Theo said in a more chipper tone. "I promise after this you guys can eat breakfast." Erin sighed and opened the large wood door leading to the library. She started to scan the shelves to find a particular book. "What book exactly are you trying to find?" Draco asked, "Ah, here it is. The great gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald." She stated and handed the book to Draco.

"A muggle book? Are you serious? Also, this is only one copy. Is the whole entire club supposed to share this?" He questioned. "No, of course not. We are going to use the doubling charm. And it's a perfectly suitable book, we're just going to pretend to be reading it for one afternoon." She said as they headed out of the library.

"Can we have breakfast now?" Blaise asked and the girl nodded, "You two go ahead, Theo and I still have something to do." Erin said as she and Theo started to walk away, Draco called them out. "Wait, where are you two going." He asked and stopped Blaise from walking towards the great hall where breakfast was being served.

"We're going to get the decorations and food from one of our house elves, we told them to apparate at the back of the castle," Erin explained and hurriedly pulled Theodore in the direction of the back of the castle.

Draco sighed and watched as the two disappeared from his sight, he then followed Blaise to the great hall for him to finally eat his breakfast. "Merlin, I'm starving," Blaise said and took a huge bite of a piece of toast. The two boys continued to eat their breakfast in silence but it was interrupted with Timothy walked over to the two boys and faked a cough to get their attention.

Draco looked up at the older boy and raised his eyebrow at him, "Is that how you welcome a new member of your club?" Timothy asked with a teasing smirk on his face, "New member? You weren't on the list of students included." Blaise said with his mouthful. "It was a last-minute decision," He replied and looked around the table as if he was searching for something or someone.

After the encounter with Riddle in the great hall, Blaise and Draco went back to the Slytherin common room and saw Theodore and Erin already setting up. "There you two are! Can one of you help Theo move the sofa?" Erin asked as she started to use the doubling charm on the book.

Blaise nodded and went to Theo and the two boys started to push the sofa out of the way. Draco walked closer to the girl, "Did you know Timothy Riddle is part of the club?" Draco asked the girl. "Uh... wait is he?" Erin asked confused and stopped what she was doing. "He doesn't seem to be the type to join in on extra collicular activities nor care about house points." She pointed out.

"Oi Draco, mind helping us here?" Blaise said as they began to move the second sofa. "You know you could've just used the locomotion charm," Draco sighed and rolled his eyes. He proceeded to take out his wand "Locomotor," the blonde boy said and moved the sofa to the sighed. Erin on the other hand finished duplicating the book, they now had a total of 17 books one for each member of the club.

She checked the clock and saw it was already 9 am, professor Flitwick was coming at 10. "Ok, we need to gather up the members. We only have an hour to catch them up with the plan. We need to convince the professor that is a real cub and not just a way to earn house points." she explained and all the other members nodded.

"Great, so the book we will be reading today is the great gatsby. If the professor asked what was last month's book you guys will answer with Dracula by Bram Stoker, and the month before that was sense and sensibility by Jane Austen. Got it?" Draco asked the group and they nodded once again. Everyone started to find a place for them to sit except for the four who were still talking about how to keep up the ruse.
