much more common but *sigh* idk if i ship? kinda do kinda don't

"Why is it always me?" Katie sighed, brushing her hair. "Stupid Travis and his stupid pranks. Why is it always my cabin?"

Kayla shrugged. "I don't know, Ti. Have you ever tried just asking him why?"

"No, I guess not, but I doubt he'd say anything true or anything that makes sense. I keep telling him to stop pranking me and my cabin, but he never listens." The daughter of Demeter threw down her hairbrush. "It's just really annoying, 'cause it feels like I've done something to personally annoy him, or we have some kind of history, and we don't. I'm just a girl at camp, and he's just a guy at the same camp. Why is it so hard for him to just be civil?"

"Maybe it's just his way of getting your attention," said Lacy thoughtfully. "When Alec - you know, the Ares kid? - was crushing on my sister, Myla, he would constantly pick fights with her just to get her to notice him. I know it's kind of a cliche thing, like, 'he's only being mean to you because he likes you', or some other kind of similar rubbish, but it might actually apply in this situation."

"That's... actually not crazy," said Kayla slowly. "Pretty much the only thing the Stolls know how to do is prank and be stupid, and Travis is just doing what he does best, right? Maybe he's hoping you'll confront him about it, and then he can explain why he does it."

"Are you being paid to say this?" Katie asked them both, squinting a little. Kayla snorted.

"We're just trying to help you out," smiled Lacy. "Maybe Travis is your Prince Charming, Katie."

"Fine, fine. I'll talk to him," decided Katie. "Maybe we can finally get to the bottom of this."

"Travis Stoll! We need to talk!" Katie yelled, banging on the door of Cabin 11. The door opened just a slither, and Travis poked his head out.

"You wanted to see me?" he teased. Katie rolled her eyes.

"Somewhere a little more private, if you would."

"Ooh, Gardner's got the hots for Travis," smirked Connor.

"I do not!"

"Fine, fine, come on, Katie. Let's go for a walk in the strawberry fields, hmm?"

"Okay, fine. Whatever you say." She saw the look on his face, and hurriedly added, "Not whatever whatever."

"Mkay. C'mon, Katie-Kat, let's go." Katie cringed at the nickname, but followed him to the strawberry fields anyway. Maybe this would clear a couple of things up.
