chapter 6

I was startled by Tyler's phone ringing. I look up to see a sleeping Tyler next to me. I wake him in an attempt to find his phone. Hey looks startles but answers the call.

I get off the bed an shut down my laptop to see its after 3 in the morning. Tyler hung up and gathered his shoes. "That was sky, I'm gonna have to let her in, she forgot her key." I nod and give a shy smile. "Happy birthday again superstar." I smile at his smile and walk downstairs to let him out. Superstar was that my new nickname? I didn't have time to think about it I was too tired. I ran upstairs and put on my pj's and snuggled in my bed.

The next morning I woke up and showerd, my mind kept replaying yesterday and the new friends I've made. I shower and put on jeans and a T-shirt. Its by birthday I should look a little presentable. I went downstairs to find my mom making coffee and asking what I wanted for breakfast. I didn't feel that hungry so I went with cheerios. My dad couldn't hold in his excitement anymore, he immediately started to butcher the happy birthday song. My mom and I bursted out into laughter and gave him fake praise as he took his bows. After 5 minutes of catching up and talking about school and my day joking about him killing my boyfriend if I had one, or at least I hope he is joking, Skyler was at the kitchen door. "Come in darling the door is open." My mom seemed at ease with Skyler I'm glad I have a friend at home my mother is cool with the last girl that lived next door didn't go over so well with her. We all sat and talked about my birthday and what I planned on doing. My parents gave me a purple envelope and had a huge teenage smile on their faces. Skyler seemed excited as well, I think she knows about my present. I rip open the envelope to find a debit card. I smile and look at them. "It has three thousand dollars max, we thought you might wanted to reinvent yourself.

"Shopping spree!" Skyler shrieked with excitement. I was happy myself even though I've grown to love my sweats I do need some clothes.

"One more think darling, this is from , me , dad and Marcus I hope you like it."

I take the box and tear it open to find an iPhone 5s with a minion case. Tears fill my eyes, my first cell phone and its an iPhone. I know it sounds weird but I was always too young then I went tho Sutton just never got around to getting one.

Skyler and I have been shopping for at least three hours. I have so many new clothes I don't even know where I'm going to wear them to. Its 4 in the afternoon and I am exhausted. We've been to so many stores I've lost count. I'm glad Skyler and I got exactly what I wanted. While driving to the mall I decided that I wanted a more tumblr girl style that I could be comfortable in and Skyler is sort of ma personal stylist.

After an hour at the food court getting to know each other better i call my dad pick us up. Big shocker he was in a meeting and mom has business. Skyler calls Tyler to come get us but he says it will be another 15 minutes before he can pick us up.

"I am so glad I got my license this morning. My parents never remember to pick me up. Only if I had a car then my plan would be foolproof."

"Jianna I told you I should have drove but your dad insisted. I'm still jealous of you thought. It took me three tries before I got my license and you got it on the first try."

"I guess I'm jus lucky." We both laugh.

"Skyler! Jianna! "

We turn around and the sight of Lexi running towards us unpleasantly greets us. I look at skyler and she is flaming. She told me she and her brother were close but this Lexi situation proves it. My races back to last night when Skyler slapped Lexi so hard I felt it for her. Now she's running towards her, does she have a death wish.

"Wait Skyler please let me explain." Lexi is breathing heavily in front of us.

"I really don't want to listen to your bull but we have time to kill so shoot." Lexi is shocked at Skyler's response so am I actually.
