April

Freshman Year is not going how I had expected it too. I knew everyone would be busy and stuff, by everyone I mean Tyler and I, but this is absolutely ridiculous. We have barely seen each other, and when we do it's like for an hour and that's it. I at least thought that  some nights we could have slept together, but the roommate situation kinda throws that thought out the window. We barely even text anymore, its like I don't even know my relationship anymore.

"What's on your mind good looking?" I heard Yas ask. She and our friend Jaleesa, one of our friends from down the hall, were on the floor studying for  mid semester exams. I was reading as well  however, I was a bit distracted.

"I'm just thinking, nothing serious. You guys wanna  go to the coffee shop for a little break. " I asked closing my books.

"Yes please." Jal answered springing up. "I am sick of Economics."

"I mean I could go for a cup of liquid crack." Yas and I immediately grabbed my wallet.

We walked to  the coffee shop laughing and talking about God knows what. When we arrived at the shop I was stopped in my tracks. Tyler with a girl having what seems to be a late lunch, My blood began to boil. I normally not a jealous person, but it was who he was having lunch with. Tiffany Dawson, she was in most of his classes and she made it apologetically clear that she was into Tyler.  We have had countless arguments about their friendship.  It goes, I don't like her, then he says I should trust him. I just don't want him associating with her.

"Yo You want me to deal with the chica once and for all?" Yas says knowing the situation and how I felt.

"No I'm not in the mood for another argument about this." I say finally moving my feet in the direction of the coffee shop.

When we walked in, he didn't even look up from his "conversation."

"Honestly Ji, you need to handle that, it's not fair to you." Jal said and I sighed knowing its true.

"We're going in the line, You need to go get your mans." Yas told me and they waled off the the line and I talked myself into going over there.

"Hey Ty." He looked up and saw me and his expression changed, its not like his smiled dropped but it wasn't as bright as when he was talking to that girl.

"Ohh hey Jianna, whats up ?" Did he just call me by my name. Not baby, babygirl or Babe. Now I'm fucking fuming. It's like he doesn't want her to know that we're together, BUT SHE ALREADY DOES!!

"Yea, I need to talk you Ty, like now." I say with my attitude evident in my voice.

"Can't right now, I have a study group in like 5 minutes and then training after. Can we do it tomorrow? or text me later after you finish rehearsals." he didn't even give me a chance to reply. He just picked up his bag and left with that girl. I watched them as they walked off laughing at something.

I can't believe this is my relationship.
What the hell happened.

"Ok yea I know you don't like me hanging with Tiffany, but as I've explained we are just friends. Your my girl." Tyler said looking me in the eye as i sat on his bed and he his chair.

Today's incident has me raging. But i don't know what it is about guys that they don't see things right infront of them.

"You called me Jianna today." I say trying to hold back my anger. He looks at me as if what's the big deal.

"Well that's your name isn't it?" He asked sarcastically leaning back into the chair not paying me much attention.

I could have explained to him why I was concerned or why I'm making a big deal of this. But I know it's gonna fall on deaf ears. I have no more fight for this.
