Part 2 chapter 3

So I won't give the horrible cliché about waking up to rose petals a card and all that jazz because I didn't. No text nothing. I never got a goodnight text like I usually do things just felt weird. I don't know why but they are just weird right now.

"Jianna baby are you up? " my mother said while knocking on my door. I don't know why she's knocking and she knows she'll come in any way.

"Yea I'm up. " I reply sitting up holding my teddy bear in my hands.

"Good I won't feel guilty about waking you. Baby you know you'll always be my baby right?" She says and I nod giving her a quizzical look. " you know you can tell me anything. Since today is valentine's day and you have a boyfriend now, well my mind has been running wild. If you and Tyler decide to have sex tonight please be safe. Condoms are your best friend right now. " I burst out with laughter.  She can't be serious right now. It's too early for this. "What why are you laughing, you both are almost 18 you expect me to believe sex has never come up between you two?" She asked. Oh mommy it has not only come up. I thought but refrained from saying. If I tell her that will be a next conversation I'm not prepared for emotionally nor verbally and something tells me she'll spin it around and be pissed.

"Yea mom I'll take all of this into great consideration, it's not like I not been receiving sex ed class from middle school." I say sarcastically

"don't be smart I'm only saying this as your mother. Lucky it's not your father. Anyways what do you have planned for today?"

"I don't know I haven't spoken to Tyler about it as yet. " I say looking down at my hands.

"Oh ok I'm sure he has something lovely planned." she said smirking at me. I shrug at her all nonchalantly.

"Anyway your father and I will be leaving by noon we have a function to attend. Breakfast in 10, you are expected to be there."

I nod at her before walking over to my bathroom.  I wash my face, brush my teeth and pull my hair up in a ponytail. I grab my phone to see a message from sky.

Sky: happy love day baby, who needs boys when I got you studmuffin

Jianna: back at you lover, fuck boys lets get hitched. Wanna come over for breakfast?

Sky: yea I'll be over soon.

I head downstairs and straight into the kitchen.

"Good morning daddy" I say sitting in the chair across from him.

"Good morning baby girl,"

"Ohh sky's coming over for breakfast" I say and mom grabs an extra plate out of the cabinet.  " So daddy what you plan on giving mommy today?"

" I'm planning on taking her away for the weekend. You don't mind staying home with your brother do you?"

I shake my head. I'm use to it and I mean they need a little trip. Wait eeewww I just put thoughts in my head that really shouldn't be there.

"So what do you and lover boy have planned for today?" Dad asked me and Marcus took a seat beside him.

"What are you doing here ?" I asked my brother. Who sticks his tounge out at me. Real mature Marcus.

"I could as you the same thing young lady. But this weekend I'm helping out at the mayor's function as a speaker. I just got in a few hours ago."

"So why didn't you tell us, I would have cancelled our function and come watch you." My mom said putting the food on the table.

"It was a last minute thing mom, they called me yesterday morning and asked if I wanted to fill in. So I got the first flight over here which was a red eye. If I wanna make it in Congress I gotta start making impressions." Marcus said while packing his plate with food.
