“Princess what happened to your eyes? Were you crying?” Lily asked with worry as she noticed Anthanasia’s slightly swollen eyes.

“Oh no, it was the pollen from Jennette’s garden, it did bring a bit of tears to my eyes” Anthanasia lied while avoiding Lily’s eyes.

“For your eyes to be this swollen it means the pollen must be too much! Oh my, I should call a doctor as pollen isn’t good to be inhaled”

“No thanks, I’ve had enough of doctors for a year” Anthanasia said jokingly trying to change the topic. “Could you arrange a small carriage for me to go out tomorrow?”

“Out? But your Highness. Your body still needs relaxation….

“Going out and changing scenery will give me all the rest I need for a month”

“Hmm. It would do you some good in socializing, but first I’ll ask the doctor if it’s alright” Lily said trimming some flowers and rearranging in the vase skillfully.
“So Lily”
“Hmm?”
“What DO girls my age do with their free time”

“Hmm. Well” Lily said removing her hand from a rose and setting it aside from the arranged roses. ”You had asked before, but I guess I didn’t give you a detailed example as I thought you would be busy with the poisoning case” Lily said cautiously at the poison case part.

“There is gardening which you’ve already started. As you want to start socializing, why don’t you first start practicing with the people you’re already acquainted with.”

“People I’m…acquainted with?” Thinking back to all the numerous balls and feasts she had attended and the slim number of people who she had spoken up to.

Lily knowing this fact quickly spoke up so the Princess wouldn’t feel bad “But you could start by getting closer to princess Jennette. Though you two are sisters you don’t do sisterly things”

“Huh?” Anthanasia asked with her head tilted as she didn’t grasp the meaning of ‘sisterly things’. “But we drink tea and talk about governmental affairs all the time”

“That’s exactly the point. You only do things as princesses instead of as sisters” Coming closer Lily listed sisterly things as Anthanasia listened in wonder “Like braiding each other’s hair. Playing with cute little animals. Being pretend queen. Reading trending novels. Girly gossip…

“We’ll braid each other’s hair? So what will the maids do?”

“Well-

“And animals can be dangerous. There are so many magical animals that could poison us” Anthanasia spoke, interrupting Lily as she said a barge of statements.  “Pretending to be of a lower rank than you are could tarnish your reputation. As a princess of the Obelian Empire, my rank is higher than a queen of any kingdom

I am already well versed in the latest novels from Professer Brigdgolve. Especially his physics theory on energy being destroyed and created a thousand times with our minds

I’m really surprised gossiping is a thing sisters do. You thought be to never talk about people behind their backs so that’s why it’s shocking”

Lily let out a sigh as her eyes became determined to help the princess become closer to her sister.

As Anthanasia laid down she reasoned and realized that in her heart, she wasn’t close to Jennette. Maybe it was because she had only cared about her father.

The next day, Anthanasia was having a lesson, when she received news that Jennette was visiting the Alpheus manor and staying there for two weeks visiting her aunt, so throughout the time, she was stuck with the wizard called Lucas.

And she had almost come to accept his ways as a narcissist.

“Hey Lucas, if you were in a shop then suddenly you met an old woman who told you your father would kill you and you reappeared back to where you were, what would you do?” Anthanasia asked an abrupt question, which was very common these days.

“Eh, its probably just a dream” Lucas answered plainly.

Though his words weren’t exactly a strong insurance, why had she worried so much over some illusion?
