It was a day when the sun was bright and not a single cloud in the clear blue sky as Anthanasia dipped the pen into ink as she wrote her letter to her sister who had been at the Alpheus manor for a week with her aunt.

Dear Jennette,
I have to fill you in on what happened during today’s tea party with Lady Peacock. Since you weren’t here she showed her dislike about me very clearly.

It was the part were some people sang and others did embroidery, and Lady peacock living up to her family name, proudly declared her voice blowing everyone’s minds, when Lady Irain agreed with Lady Peacock about her voice blowing everyone’s minds. But it took a turn from there.

“We believe in Lady Peacock’s worth in blowing everyone’s minds. You’d make a great knight because your voice would probably kill the enemy a mile away considering how bad it is. But on the bright sides you are the solution to all Obelian wars being won”

Since it was a small gathering of girls, there wasn’t a big uproar, but that statement is spreading quickly.

Today Hannah and Seth were talking about how much they missed us trying out hairstyles on them. I too miss our salon. I can’t wait for you to come back.

Hope you’re well.
Sincerely,
Athy

“Isn’t this like the 100th letter you sent today? She’s coming back next week. I really don’t understand what you like about that chimera”

“It is the 18th letter today and her name is ‘Jennette’, not ‘chimera, and she is my sister! Remind me again what kind of ‘best friend’ you are”

As Anthanasia sealed her letter she was immediately disturbed by her supposed friend, Lucas.

While becoming closer with Jennette she had also unconsciously gotten closer to Lucas who she saw as an accidental friend.

Their relationship was an annoy-shout-leave-whatever-back_to_normal turn. Lucas was someone who was blunt, narcissistic, inconsiderate and selfish. But that was what Anthanasia had first thought, but over time she saw him in a different light.

Well, a light shifted an inch away.

She happily read the letter which she had received twenty minutes ago, for the third time, with a fond smile on her face. Partly, because of the satisfying trivial content, and because of the sender had taken their time to send a letter.

Her head softly hit the pillow as she dropped the letter on the side table before picking up her favorite doll, which had brown hair and green eyes. Miss Penelope, was named after her long time deceased mother, as the doll oddly resembled the woman in a portrait who was said to be Jennette’s mother.

Before when she looked at the doll she would feel a sense of loneliness and sadness, but now…

Knock. Knock. “Enter” Jennette said raising up her head expecting to see a maid but was surprised by the white hair that came into view.

“Jennette… if it’s not too rude of me, I’d like to discuss a matter with you” Ijekiel said awkwardly scratching the back of his head as he stood at the door.

“Um, okay. Please have a seat” Jennette clumsily directing to a seat near the toys on the balcony.

Though it was the Alpheus manor, which she had stopped living in two years ago, the room which she had lived in, before she could remember, was kept in the exact same state as if it was just an hour ago she had left.

What connection did she have with the Alpheus dukedom? Her mother and the duchess had been close friends since young.

Penelope’s death came after Jennette’s ‘birth’, and the Duchess took it upon herself to raise Jennette as, at the time, her aunt Rosalina, was very devastated by her husband’s early date, and was too busy, trying to repair the fallen Margareta family.

So Jennette was taken as the duchess’ daughter, but after Jennette being only two months old, the Duchess died of a Chronic disease.

Among her wishes to the Duke who was madly in love with her, was to take care of Jennette and raise her to be a sweet, kind and loving lady. And to make sure she was reconnected to her family members.

“Well, it’s a problem about Princess Anthanasia”
