*A couple of days later, at school, everyone is setting up for the school play*
Ms Bustier: The school play is tomorrow! Make sure you are all ready!
Alya: *Pulling out lights with Marinette, sees Adrien in the corner with Nino* So... what's the deal between you and Adrien? Are you dating or not?
Marinette: *Sighs* I don't know... it's complicated.
Alya: I mean, you've been acting like a couple for days now but you say you're not dating?
Marinette: It's really complicated, Alya.
Alya: Hmm. You know what you need?
Marinette: What?
Alya: HEY, ADRIEN!
Adrien: *Turns around*
Marinette: *Whispers* Alya?! What--
Alya: Wanna swap jobs?!
Adrien: Uhh... sure. *Walks over*
Alya: *Smirks at Marinette* Ask him out. *Walks away*
Marinette: *Eyes widen* What...
Adrien: *Picks up the lights* You okay?
Marinette: Uh.. yeah.. *Nervous laugh, walks up the ladder*
Adrien: Do you need some help?
Marinette: *Stutters* N..No.. it's fine... *Hangs the lights*
Adrien: So, uh... I was wondering... since we know our identities now... and the fact that I can't stop loving you...
Marinette: *Doesn't look at him, blushes*
Adrien: Do you... wanna.... go out sometime?
Marinette: *Gasps, loses her balance and falls*
Adrien: *Drops the lights and catches her* Woah...
Marinette: *Looks into his eyes* I...
Adrien: *Puts her down*
Marinette: Sorry, I guess I was a bit... taken back...
Adrien: I don't wanna put any pressure on you! It's just that I can't stop thinking about you, you know?
Marinette: I can't stop thinking about you, either.
*The bell rings*
Ms Bustier: Ok, students, I'll see you guys tomorrow night!
Marinette: I guess we better go home...
Adrien: Yeah... um... *kisses her cheek* I'll see you tomorrow. *Walks away*
Marinette: *Holds her cheek and blushing*
Alya: *Walks over* So....
Marinette: He asked me out!
Alya: And what did you say?!
Marinette: Wait... I was suppose to give him an answer?
Alya: *Facepalms* There's always tomorrow.
*4am, in Marinette's bedroom*
Marinette: *Asleep*
*The balcony door slightly opens and a piece of paper gets thrown on top of Marinette*
Marinette: *Flinches a little, starts to open her eyes*
*The balcony door quickly shuts*
Marinette: *Sits up and rubs her eyes, whispers* Tikki? *Sees the piece of paper in front of her, picks it up and reads it* What? *Looks at the time on her phone* At this time of night, Adrien? *Groans and gets up, walks towards Tikki in her bed on top of her desk, whispering* Tikki! Tikki!
Tikki: *Fast asleep*
Marinette: *Sighs, whispers* Thank god it's only the school. *Puts a big coat on and leaves*
*At the school, 5 minutes later*
Marinette: *Climbs in through the window in the locker room* Adrien? *Leaves the locker room* Adrien? *Walks towards the janitors closet, looks inside* Adrien?
??: Hello, Marinette.
Marinette: *Screams and turns around*
??: Missed me?
Marinette: *Groans* Lila... I should've known you would do something like this.
Lila: You really think you can get away with this?
Marinette: Get away with what?
Lila: GETTING THE LEAD PART!
Marinette: So what? You're just mad that you got caught!
Lila: I said you would pay for this... and now you are...
Marinette: Pfft.. What are you going to do?
Lila: If I can't have the lead role... no one can... and as a bonus there will be no play once they find out you've disappeared...
Marinette: *Yawns* Listen, Lila. I don't have time to listen to your complaints. *About to walk away*
Lila: *Pushes her into the janitors closet and locks the door*
Marinette: HEY! *Starts banging on the door*
Lila: Good luck on the play tonight! *Blows a kiss and leaves*
Marinette: LILA! *Bangs on the door* LILA!
*A strong wind blows past Marinette's ear*
Marinette: *Turns around* Hello?
*Silence fills the room*
Marinette: *Walks towards the door oppisite and climbs in*
*She ends up in the same room she defeated Horrificator*
Marinette: *Looks around* Hello? *Shivers* Ma-maybe there's a key somewhere here...
*She looks between all the shelves with no success*
Marinette: *Gets more tired, yawns* Got... to... find...key...
*She falls to the floor*
*9am, with Tikki*
Tikki: *Yawns, wakes up and stretches* That was a good sleep... *Looks at the time, gasps* Marinette, you're going to be-- *She flies up and sees that Marinette is not there* MARINETTE?! *She flies up to the balcony and sees she's not there either* MARINETTE?! *She looks over at the school*
Adrien: *Gets out of the car* Thanks... *Closes the door*
Tikki: *Flies over*
Nino: *Walks over* Hey, dude! The play is today, you excited?!
Tikki: *Hides in Adrien's bag*
Plagg: *Jumps and drops his Camembert* Ahh! Tikki, what---
Tikki: *Places her little hand over his mouth* Shh! I'll explain in a minute!
Adrien: Yeah... I can't wait.
Nino: I know you're going to do great.
Adrien: Thanks, Nino.
Alya: *Walks up* Hey, boys! Marinette here yet?
Nino: Not yet.
Alya: Probably sleeping as usual.
Lila: *Walks past and walks into school*
Adrien: Wait, Lila's back? But I thought she got suspended?!
Nino: Yeah. I guess she got let off early.
Lila: *Smirks as she walks past the janitors closet*
Alya: We better start getting to class.
Nino: *Puts his arm around Alya* My girl's right.
*They walk in*
Adrien: *Looks at the Dupain-Cheng bakery then goes inside*
Tikki: *Sighs of relief* Phew...
Plagg: Tikki, why aren't you with Marinette?
Tikki: Marinette's missing! I can't find her!
Plagg: WHAT?!
