"Mr Black, Mr Potter!" McGonagall swatted at them before rubbing her head. "almost three weeks of knowing you both and it keeps getting worse."
"I'm offended Minnie!" James gasps in fake offense, putting a hand over his heart.
"James Potter, i have repeatedly told you to never call me that foul name." McGonagall rests her head on her hands.
"It isn't foul Minnie! You know it too!" Sirius came to James defense because in the end it was him, the one and only Sirius Black, who gave her the nickname.
"I will give you five pounds to get out." She tried harder.
"Not happening!" Remus stepped in, "Lads, stop screwing with Minnie here." He patted them on their shoulders turning them away from McGonagall's desk but not before she threw a book at his head hissing "Remus John Lupin!"
The three of them ran off, sniggering.
"Give her a break! She's old and a hard worker! As soon as you two showed up i feel like she's been stressing for work." Lily shook her head, trying super hard to hide her growing smile.
"Which is something Minerva McGonagall does not do." The red head added.
"Oh c'mon carrot top!" Sirius whined, "let us have fun? pleasee?" he begged, giving her the puppy dog eyes and pouting lip.
"Oh fuck you." she sighed, giving in.
"I'm sleepy.." Sirius whined. "Goodnight!" He smiled brightly before face planting on the cushiony sofa.
"Sirius.. you- we," Remus started. They all needed his help sorting books and unpacking new orders but he didn't know how to tell him that when he looked so adorable.
"Sirius Black get the actual fuck up and unpack those three boxes over there." Lily said sternly, waving towards the boxes.
"But-"
"No buts, or no nuts." Lily raised a perfect fiery brow the boys way.
"Yes ma'am!" Sirius stood up, saluting Lily before he marched towards the boxes.
"I'll help you?" James turned to walk after Sirius but stopped when Remus put a hand out in-front of the curly one. "oh no you don't."
"But-" James furrowed his eyebrows but Remus told him that Lily will help him since he knows James will just screw around.
"Black! No don't do that! No-" Lily rushed over to where Sirius was trying to sort the books. -horribly-
"I think Pads got messing it all up on his own." James cooed before walking behind the desk Lily stood a second earlier.
"I don't know if anyone could be more correct than that statement.." Remus shook his head jumping when he heard Lily scream.
"SIRIUS ORION BLACK GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT THIS INSTANT!"
"Okay, mum." Sirius rolled his eyes, pulling himself on top of the shelf.
"Oh my god-" Remus sprinted over, "What the bloody hell are you doing up there? Get down now!" He hissed, peaking around the tall book shelf to see McGonagall shaking her head disapproval written all over her face before she let out a soft short laugh, walking out of the library with a small smile.
"Sirius if you fall and die," James shook his head, snickering at his friend's stupidity.
"James, i'm fi-" Sirius wiggled a bit, trying to prove his point but accidentally slipping off the shelf.
"Holy shit!" Remus groaned as he somehow caught him, he must've had some secret super powers right?
"Moony! You saved my life!" Sirius smiled up at him.
"Drama queen," Remus huffed rolling his eyes. "It was around a five foot drop, you would not have died." Remus let out a breathy laugh.
"You know what? You are right! I saved myself but choosing a short shelf." Sirius nodded stiffly, like he convinced himself.
He most likely did, Remus thought.
"That's not what i-" Remus shook his head, rubbing his forehead.
"Thanks Rems! You made me realize i can only trust myself to save my life!" Sirius grinned at Remus before going back to sorting the books.
You just fell off of a shelf and you act like nothing happened?
"I didn't say that either but whatever floats your boat?" Remus started walking hack towards the computer on the back desk, Pushing James along in-front of him.
Note: Sorry this one isn't really as long as some of the others.. but i tried right? yea this has been in my drafts for awhile, just waiting to be finished. I just sometimes don't have the motivation to write some days, i'm sorry for that one haha- some days i'm just exhausted, i can get busy. i'll try updating more often - anyway, go take a nap or eat, drink water, finish that assignment/project, do what y'all should or can do alright? stay safe, and healthy but also take care of yourself emotionally.. remember you're so very loved <3
