"GASP!!" [Name] awoke with a start and sat up, gulping down as much air as possible. It was only after a couple of minutes that she was able to look around as she felt the water under her hands and behind.

It only took her a second to recognize the white walls and tall tree. Except that, unlike the last time she had been here when the tree looked like it was dying and would break without warning, some leaves and little buds of all colors had actually begun to grow on some of the branches.

In front of it, sat the familiar hooded [Surname] ancestor, brewing tea she got from who knows where. She didn't lift her head nor spoke, doing her business as if [Name] wasn't there.

[Name] wasn't sure herself of what to say and began to wonder what else this woman usually did in her spiritual world. "What are you-? Gh! AH!"

She didn't get the chance to ask her ancestor either, excruciating pain suddenly consuming her body from the inside out. [Name] dropped to her knees, her veins glowing azure. It was such a cooling color, but she felt as if lava was what was running through them.

Unable to hold it in, she screamed. For a whole hour, she fought with the pain but in the end, she fell unconscious. The woman just remained sitting, not reacting at all as she kept doing her own thing.

The pattern of [Name] waking up in pain only to fall unconscious repeated for hours. Her veins constantly glowing until an entire day had passed and she woke up for the last time, the pain finally lessening.

[Name] panted on her knees, needing a moment to be able to produce words again, "You... Would you stop drinking tea and help me out here?"

"Geez, so impatient." Said the person who was still leisurely sipping tea from her porcelain cup. She wasn't rushing even after the call and delicately placed the cap over the cup, then put it down.

[Name] grunted, her hand falling over her left neck where the pain had originated from, wiping the area again and again in disgust, "What in the hell did that bastard do?"

The woman drew closer, stretching her neck so that she could see the three comas on the girl's neck. The veins around the symbols glowing under her skin. "Not sure... I cannot say I have ever seen anything like it. Whatever it is, it seems like he implanted some of his chakra within you."

"Can external chakra be this painful?" [Name] couldn't even stand right now, her legs having turned into jelly. Everything ached, including her bones and internal organs. Her veins still pulsating from time to time. She had never heard of the insertion of external chakra into someone causing that.

Truthfully, it isn't a common occurrence. "Your chakra, and mine, are from my mother. Our chakra is pure, untainted like that of humans. That man's chakra is filled with death, incompatible with yours. The longer his chakra collides with your own, the more harm it will cause your body. You either extract it, or you will die."

"You... really like to speak dramatically, don't you?"

"Shut up." The woman moved away and waved her hand, nine seals appearing along the walls of the room. Red chakra burst in the center of each seal. "If it becomes too difficult, use that chakra the same way I taught you before to heal yourself before continuing to try to remove that man's symbol."

When [Name] had been injured during the battle with Haku, this same red chakra had helped her heal. Her ancestor had slightly taught her to consciously control the red chakra at that time. However, that chakra had been sent by the Kyuubi for some reason, and [Name] herself was in a hurry to wake up, so she didn't get the chance to learn the process thoroughly. Unfortunately, [Name] also had no idea how to return to her spiritual space to keep on learning it.
