"This is all inside my soul!" the girl looked all around her in disbelief, but then her head lowered and she looked down, "Am I... dead...?"
The woman glanced at her back, her face still hidden, "Nearly. Thankfully that boy wasn't trying to kill you, he just made it look like he did. It made it easier for yours and his chakra to slowly heal you."
[Name] nodded in understanding, furrowing her brows in puzzlement, "His? Whose chakra?"
"You know him as the Demon Fox. The Kyuubi."
Her [Eye Color] orbs widened at her answer, no words coming out of her mouth at first, "...Why? ...Why would he...?"
A small smile growing on the strange woman's face, "Unlike most have been led to believe, they are not evil. He will always protect you. All of them will. After all, no matter in what time you're born or what you look like, your heart will always stay the same."
The princess just stayed there watching her for a moment, a feeling of familiarity reaching over her the longer she stayed beside the woman, "...Just who are you? How do you know all of this? Most importantly, how are you inside of my soul? Inside the seal?"
"Who? History has constantly changed who I am. It really depends on who you ask. But I will always be me, and you will always be you. That's why you already know the answer to your own questions, [Name]."
Her cryptic words swarmed through the ninja's mind, her mouth hesitantly opening, "You're the one who created the seal... The one whose chakra I inherited..." a hand falling on her head as another word kept ringing loudly to her but she just tried to ignore it.
The woman stepped closer to [Name], slowly nodding, "That's right. Humans... They're a race I could not entrust with this power. That's why, after I fell in love with a human man out of all people, I became human myself and sealed away all this power so no one could ever use it. Not even my own children."
"So the legend was true... All those stories we were told from the past weren't just made up..." breathed out the [Surname], not actually having expected that story to have happened in the slightest.
"In the end, I was right. Once chakra fell on the hands of humanity, wars broke out, thousands died. People born with chakra were either used as tools or they were the oppressors. That was everything I feared." spat out the white-haired woman, but then her voice turned heavier and she walked around the tree to the other side which was closer to the wall, "However, I also made a grave mistake."
[Name] watched the woman in confusion and rushed after her, "A mistake?"
"Aa. The simple fact that no matter how powerful, any seal can be broken. Even if there is a seal in the first place, our power was still there. This power would always be a part of us." she muttered lowly, the lower part of her face which was visible showing sadness.
Realization fell over the kunoichi, her eyes opening wide as the air left her lungs, "We were always targeted even when the seal was still on... It wasn't just me..."
The woman walked over the water and went to the wall, a pale hand coming out of one of her kimono sleeves and touching the wall covered in ancient writings, "I was already dead and unable to do a thing, yet my family continued to be targeted. That's why the [Surname] Family had to become as powerful as it is now. There was no other way to survive."
Wind fluttered around the room, blowing [Name]'s [Hair Color] locks around her pained face, "The reason why my seal is broken... That was you, wasn't it?"
"I couldn't take it anymore..." tears rolled down her pale cheeks, "Watching that deathly cycle repeat again and again... I couldn't take it anymore. The three of you kept coming back, your souls bonded for eternity to suffer the same fate. Those two boys with you, they are the same."
