you went downstairs and your mum looked at you in confusion.
"why have you been dressing up all nice the last day or two?" she asked "normally you live in leggings and hoodies"
"mm maybe i have a little motivation"
"oooh is this talk of a speacial someone your trying to impress?"
more like hes tryna impress me... you thought
"nope, someone im keeping up appearances in front of. im going to tommys later to stream with him, and he said i can have dinner there so ill be back probably later than you."
"who is tommy?" she asked with that look parents use of slight concern and confusion.
you sighed. better get this over with now.
"my boyfriend"
"your... boyfriend??! how come i havent met him yet!!" she exclaimed
"mum chill, we only just started dating"
"how long have you known him??"
"few days"
"how can you trust him to not break your heart?? whats he like? how can you trust him enough to date him??!" she rambled on and on.
once she finished you looked at her skeptically.
"you done?"
"are you going to answer any of my questions?"
"nope"
"fine. how are you getting to tommys house? is he gonna pick you up? are you walking? because you cannot walk in those shoes. oh! i forgot to ask, where does he live? how are you getting home?"
"mum you gotta calm down. he lives quite near here. only like a half hour drive. he said his mum is gonna come pick me up. he lives in (insert tommys address here) and we are going to walk home. im taking a different pair of shoes." you replied quickly. "that answer your questions?"
"when you say 'we are going to walk home' who is 'we'?"
" 'we' is me and tommy"
"hm okay"
"have you stopped mum panicking yet?"
"okay fine. make sure your home before 10 okay?"
"alright"
"and keep your phone on you just in case"
"yea yea alright"
"okay i gotta get to work honey so ill see you when you get back"
