Lexie's side:

Lexie had been going through the most dreadful and throbbing days of her existence.

A plastic surgeon had been coming in every day to peal the burns off her skin and that process hurt more than any pain Lexie had ever felt.

April wasn't coming around as much (due to unknown reason) I mean they lived in the same building and Jayden wasn't visiting at all either.

The only person who held her head while she was tortured was Christopher, it was part of his job, she knew that but it lessened her pain even if it was just a little bit.

She did not have any complaints in regards of staring at his ocean blue eyes. Every time the pain was too much, which was always, she'd squeeze onto his hand and let out a scarred scream whilst he'd smile and her gently.

When the lead surgeon was finished for today he whispered something into Christopher's ear, thinking Lexie couldn't hear, but she did.

"Doctor Wild I need you to tell one of the interns to monitor Lexie overnight."

"I could do that if you would like sir." Christopher insisted.

"That would be perfect, your familiar with the case, you'll do great, just page me if anything goes wrong." and then he patted him on the shoulder.

To these words Lexie was blushing, she had no idea why, she just was. Christopher turned back and walked up to her.

"Guess it's just you and me tonight." he smirked.

" Bring a book I'm going to bed early tonight." she teased.

Christopher seemed a little disappointed, though he did the professional thing to do, nodded and walked away.

Lexie felt proud of herself, for no reason.

She spent most of her day with her parents, they told her what happened to April and she was shook she felt terrible about them not seeing each other for a while she missed her best friend.

" Hey mom, what about Jayden I haven't heard from her in days." Lexie asks in a trembling voice.

-"Oh honey, didn't you hear?" her mom's voice was going deeper now.

"Hear what mom?"

" Her dad passed away 2 days ago." her mom replied.

"WHAT!" Lexie had been in the dark for days, she wasn't there for her best friend in her hardest time and she felt horrible about it. She tried to call Jayden over a hundred times but nothing, it kept on going to voicemail every time. She felt helpless. A few hours later her parents left, she grabbed the phone and tried calling Jayden again, nothing, she tried April nothing. All of a sudden, she couldn't hold her tears back anymore, it felt horrible everything was so messed up and she had no control over it.

Minutes later Christopher came in for his night shift, he found Lexie crying in her hospital bed looking at her phone.
-"Lexie what's wrong?" Christopher asks in a worried tone.

" Nothing I don't want to keep you from your job I'm okay." she said while grabbing a tissue.

" I'm here all night, I'm going to go sit on that chair and read my "book" and when you're ready I'll listen." Christopher added.

Christopher sat down an eye in the book and another on Lexie waiting for her to crack. An hour had gone by and Lexie's eyes were still buried inside her phone. Christopher had had it, he got up and sat on the edge of her bed.

"Allow me to ask you again, what's wrong Lexie."

"Look doctor Chris, can I call you doctor Chris?" Lexie mumbled.

"That's weird, just call me Chris."

"Okay Chris, I have been in the dark about everything concerning my friends and it feels horrible! My best friend's dad just died and she won't answer any of my calls, and my other best friend is in the same hospital as me but I'm stuck in this bed and so is she, and I just miss them okay." and for the first time in Lexie's existence, she showed emotion.

"In the same hospital you say?" he asks to make sure.

"Yeah why?" replies Lexie all confused.

"Okay if we're going to do this you can't tell anyone okay?" he whispers.

"Oh my god, you can take me to see her?" she yells.

"Volume please." Christopher adds.

"Okay, okay sorry, can you take me to see her? she whispers this time.

Christopher nodded yes, he picked her up and placed Lexie on a wheel chair. Then he put his head out the door a little and checked if the halls were clear.

"Aprés vous mademoiselle." Christopher said in French and opened the door for her.

"Come again?" Lexie pretended to look confused.

"That's French." he says with pride.

" Ahh vous parlez le français, la France est un pays exceptionnel." Lexie shoot back.

Christopher looked all confused, he didn't get a word of that he had only memorized that one phrase.

" Attempt of trying to impress me FAILED." Lexie said trying not to laugh.

They got to April's room, loud noises were coming from the inside and it was really dark, suddenly the door opened shut right in front of their eyes, and a weird shadow came out. They couldn't tell who it was. April was all red with anger in her hospital bed, and Adrian was filled with rage, he ran after the shadow. When April spotted Lexie her face expressions changed.

"Hey Lex!" she yells.

"I'm going to go guard the door." Christopher declares.

"April what was going on before I came in, are you okay?" Lexie asks worried.

"Can we not talk about it please, anyhow I see you're hitting it with the pretty doctor." April tried to change the conversation.

"He was just doing me a favor, I have to tell you something." she slightly blushes.

She began to tell her everything about Jayden and her dad, April rushed to call her but nothing. They now both were helpless, but they felt better that they were now together though they were still missing Jayden terribly. They sat together and talked about it for a while.

"I missed you Lexie." April says with a smile on her face.

"I missed you too." replied Lexie.

"Hey Lexie sorry we have to go." Christopher declared.

He rolled Lexie back to her room. He pulled her off the wheelchair and held her back to her bed, while he was trying to sit her down gently, their eyes met, both of them stared deep into each other's eyes, Christopher pulled in a little closer to the point where Lexie could feel his trembling breaths. Lexie couldn't help it either the moment was consuming her, she pulled in closer to the point where it felt like they were going to kiss until Christopher pulled away...
