One second. If I were one second too late Mick would've died. But this time I was prepared. I didn't hesitate pulling the gun out from behind my pants and shooting relentlessly at the beast. Not today. It wasn't going to take away the one thing that mattered the most to me right now. I tried to comfort Mick as best as I could while he broke down in my arms. Sweet and gentle Mick escaping death narrowly. I would've never forgave myself if something happened to him. But thankfully I protected him like i promised I would. He was still under shock while I carried him to the car and quickly came back for the stuff he left at the store. He sat in the passenger seat, staring blankly outside while I drove back home. I looked at him with empathy and reached out to grab his hand,
"Mick?" Silence. "Do you want to talk about it?"
He dropped his shoulders as if some weight was lifted off his shoulders.
"I'll be fine I think, thank you for catching me back there,' he turned at me and shot me a smile. There he was.
"Of course bärchen, I would never forgive myself if something happened to you."
He raised his eyebrows at the new nickname I gave him. Little bear.
"Hey, you call me wolfie!" I said laughing and then he laughed too. Glad too see my boy came out of this alright.

Back at home we decided to have a game night. Mick set up the dinner while I took care of the living room. I lit the fireplace up and brought more blankets and pillows. I set up the monopoly on the table near the sofa, where we were currently sleeping. I made sure everything was well distributed and that the money was in fact equal. No cheating.
"Caution, Mick with your dinner coming right behind you." I stood still while he set the dinner on top of the game, shoving the cards away with his free hand,
"Hey!" I yelled, "it took me a while to set these up Mick!" I pouted and he pecked my lips,
"Well, at least you'll be eating okay?" He then touched the tip of my nose before sitting down.
"God Mick, you suck at this,"
"Hey it's not me it's the dice! Never making me land on my property,"
"You own two properties Mick." I observed.
"Yeah well, I gotta save money to pay for your hotels," I chuckled and rolled my dice, it landed on the dark blue spot. Park lane to be exact,
"I'll buy," I sternly said, giving Mick the money needed, he shook his head playfully and handed me the card,
"Rich ass."
"Language Mr. Schumacher,"
"Oh to hell with it." He stuck out his tongue at me, I snorted and handed him the dice. He rolled and, landed on empty land.
"I'll buy too!" he cheered proudly, shoving the necessary money in the box and taking the card,
"Look at you go, investing," I teased him
"They call me the wolf on Wall Street," he replied with a grin.
The rolls continued until... I ended up in prison. I couldn't hear the end of it, so much I had to throw a pillow at Mick to shut him up. No success. I got out and continued rolling and investing left and right, but Mick started to win and loose too. Until. He landed on my very expensive Park Lane. He looked at the amount he had to give me, and back at his savings. His eyes grew wide and he slapped his hand on his mouth,
"No..." he muttered, I grinned as I knew what this meant,
"You're bankrupt! I WIN!!" I stood up and jumped up and down, screaming and shouting, claiming my Victory while Mick groaned in frustration.
"You're such a sore loser Mick,"
"You would be too if you lost."
"I never loose."
He pretended to be mad at me and huffed his chest out while he turned his head away,
"Can I get a kiss?"
"Yup, come over here." I smirked and went up to him.

The next couple of days flashes by and became quite repetitive. We soaked up as much sun and fresh air while we were outside in the day. Going up the hill and then sledding down until we were out of breath and we couldn't climb up the hill anymore. We also held very serious snowball fight. Mick was a great warrior at that I had to admit. But that wasn't fair cause he was very strong and had quick reflexes thanks to his racing driver skills. I once caught a snowball straight to my face and the look on my face was like, "a deer caught in headlights" as Mick described it. I shoved a snowball in his face while he was laughing his ass out.
"You're such a sore loser (y/n)," he said.
"Oh yeah? Let's go home and go play monopoly then." I challenged him
'Ok never mind."
"That's what I thought."
"Shut up," he defied me,
"Make me." I shot back.
He then made his way towards me and pinned me on the ground, I yelped in surprise and then we started to fight, play and make out.
We tried to make most of our time left together. As we warmed up to each other, we became closer and more raw with each other, we started to share our deepest fears, our hopes and dreams and all the little things about us. It brought us closer, but it would also make the separation more painful. I tried not to think about the moment we all dreaded but there was only a few days left. I decided we'll make the most of our time left and make it the most unforgettable days. I first wanted to take things to another level.

"Mick? Can you come here real quick?" a flash of panic spread across his face for a second and he slowly made his way to where I was sitting.
"You might want to sit for this."
He sat down and began fidgeting with his fingers, bringing them to his lips and nervously biting his lips,
"Look, I'm sorry I set your blanket on fire last time-"
"I just wanted to- Wait what?" We both spoke at the same time, "you burned my blanket?! What? When?"
"You were asleep though, the blanket fell on the floor and a piece of it caught fire." he explained
"That's why it smelled like burning!" I began, "I smelled burning in my dream that night, thankfully for you I was dreaming about a barbeque." He exhaled and looked at me knowingly.
"Right," I cleared my throat, "So let's address the elephant in the room."
"What's this between us?" I asked calmly.
He looked at me as if I said something stupid,
"So I didn't make it obvious that I'm head over heels?"
