MICK

Today was the big day, I woke up from the sunlight peeping through the curtains. The fire was still crackling, its ambers slowly dying. I turned over and saw (y/n) peacefully sleeping, snoring lightly. I went in and caressed her cheeks, at my touch she groaned and slowly opened her eyes.
"Good morning, Mrs. Schumacher," I said, with a joyful smile,
"Good morning Mr. Schumacher," she simply replied, she inhaled and looked at the clock hanging over the fireplace, her eyes grew wide and she sat up immediately,
"Get up we're getting married today."

(y/n) told me she would break into her neighbor's house to change as to keep at least the tradition where seeing the bride before the wedding would be bad luck. So I got dressed in the bathroom of her house. I fixed my bow and straightened my tux as best as I could. Not too shabby. I was ready. (y/n) took out her engagement ring and I took out another ring. The diamond was a little bigger and a little more stylish to my taste. I borrowed it from the jeweler when I went to get tailored. I took one last look in the mirror. I was going to marry the girl of my dreams today. Impatient, I stepped outside and went to our wedding venue. I think we forgot we were still in winter.
"(y/n)!" I shouted, not knowing exactly where she was, "you can come out now, everything is ready."
I looked around our venue. Empty chairs for our friends and family, I looked over to my side and a wave of sadness overcame when I saw how my family wouldn't be here on a special day. My friends wouldn't also be here to tease me about my beautiful wife to be. Suddenly, music came out of no where. It was the traditional walk down the aisle song. I snapped my head around and saw a white mass walking towards me.
(y/n) had a voluminous white dress with off the shoulder sleeves that hugged her forms perfectly, bringing out her skin tone. She had a veil over her face and... was holding a bouquet of red flowers. I wonder where she found those. She made her way towards me as the music guided her and my nerves started to act up. When she reached our imaginary altar, I extended my hand and she caught it. I pulled her to where I was and gently lifted up her veil to reveal the most mesmerizing face. She was sculpted by the goddess Aphrodite herself.
"Staring is not very polite," she remarqued with a soft smile, I rolled my eyes,
"Well deal with it."
No one was here to do the boring and long process of marrying each other so we just skipped straight to the vows.
I cleared my throat and plunged in,
"(y/n), when I found out our days were numbered I realized I didn't want to spend another second without being able to call you my wife, so here we are. Getting married and all, by ourselves but I say it's pretty private and I know you have social anxiety. You met me at a very strange time in my life but I wouldn't exchange it for the world. You made me grow into a better person, always having my back. You promised to keep me safe, so now it's my turn to make you a promise that I know I'll keep. I will keep loving you (y/n) with every last breath I have left I'll keep loving you."
"'Till death do us part," she whispered and I nodded.
She took a deep breath and wiped away a tear that was stuck near her eye,
"Wow Mick that was emotionally charged," she chuckled, "I don't know if my vows compare to yours but I'll give it a try, "she squeezed my hand and began her vows,
" The end of the world doesn't seem so bad now that I get to be and go with you. I know we didn't have much time together, but the little we got, felt like a whole lifetime. I'll pray that we find each other in the next because there's nobody else I can see myself with. You're my forever Mick, so I'll search for you if I have to."
I think I'm sobbing again, but she laughed and cried a little too.
I slipped her new wedding ring on and she looked at me with twinkles in her eyes. God, I was so lucky. She slipped a golden ring on mine and not wanting to wait any longer, I said,
"Can I kiss the bride now?"
"You may kiss the bride."

I went to put the record on and manually turned on the gramophone, 'Puppy love' by Paul Anka started to play, I went to what we decided was the dance floor, and held my hand out and bowed a little. She did a curtsy so well that royalty would be proud to have her. I pulled her into my arms and we started to waltz slowly to the song,
"And they called it puppy love
Oh I guess they'll never know
How a young heart how it really feels
And why I love her so
Tell them all
Oh please tell them it isn't fair
To take away my only dreamI hope I hope and I pray
That maybe someday
You'll be back (you'll be back) in my arms (in my arms)
Once again."After the song ended, (y/n) went to change the record and put a song of her choosing. When the first few seconds played, I overheard her say,
"Your song was too sappy, wait 'til you hear mine,"
'Hey Lover," by The Daughters of Eve started to play,
"Hey, hey, hey, lover
You don't have to be a star
Hey, hey, hey, lover
I love you just the way you are
For love is just the same without fortune and fame
Just give me
True love and understanding
True love and understanding
Hey, lover, won't you treat me right?
And be with me tonight
Just give me
True love and understanding
True love and understanding"

(y/n) told me she was hungry and now wanted to eat, the sun was setting and I agreed with her as we heard my stomach rumble. I looked t her with a grin and dived in, carrying her, bridal style,
"Oh I see what this is," she said. We walked towards the threshold and stayed there for a moment while we both looked at the door,
"Ready for forever Mick?" she asked me. Damn right I was. She pushed open the door, and I stepped in carrying her inside and throwing her on the bed,
"Ouch Mick! that was completely unnecessary!
