Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed Lover Boy so far. I just want to take a moment to thank you all and clear some things up, mostly for myself.
Lover Boy started out as a passion project, sort-of like a way to improve my social skills, anxiety, and writing. So I couldn't believe how much exposure and love that it has gotten lately! Thank you! I could go on and on about how much I appreciate y'all, but I think you already know that :D
I also made Love Boy to shine some light on mental illnesses and disorders, and to improve at least a few people's views on the subject. I thought that if you saw what was going on inside the mind, you would understand the person's actions more, and emerge with a sense of empathy. Whew. I usually don't write such deep things...
As you probably figured out, Lance (in this story) has anxiety and depression, and a fun fact, 40% of this book is based on personal experiences and scenarios, and I also experience those pesky italicized thoughts.
So, taking that in mind, sorry if I don't post that frequently. And I hope you enjoy the rest of the book with a newfound appreciation (or something like that :)
