With the game coming to a close end, Hinata's team won the first set while suga's team got the second. Now, both are fighting neck and neck to win; Hinata's team with 24 points and suga's with 23.Right now, It's Kageyama's turn to serve which is quite intimidating to the opposing team. Suga, asahi, and tsukishima all stood ready for a lighting fast ball... Which they definitely got.
Kageyama's serve seemed even more powerful than any of his previous ones. The sheer strength and force he put into that specific serve allowed no time for the other team to react.
Everyone stood completely silent after the explosive blow on the other side of the court, slightly shocked at how great of a serve was given at the near-end of a game.
"I guess we shouldn't really be surprised with that, now should we? You always seem to give your all when it really counts, Kageyama." Suga pat asahi on the back while flashing a smile toward tsukishima and started walking toward the other side of the court. "Good job, you three!"
"Thank you, suga!" Hinata and noya shouted. Kageyama just nodded and went to grab water. The game didn't last a horribly long time but it was still enough to wear him out.
"Hey Nishinoya, mind if I talk to Hinata real quick?" Suga asked. Noya nodded and ran away towards Tanaka, likely to cause some sort of disturbance.
Hinata stood in front of suga with a confused look on his face. He couldn't recall a reason for needing to be talked to. Had he done something wrong?
"Before you start worrying, I've only got a proposition for you. Hear me out, alright?"
Hinata nodded and rested his hands on his head, ready to listen.
"When it comes to jumping, spiking, and blocking you've really improved- in fact, you've improved far more than any of the other first years. With that being said, it's noticeable that your receives aren't doing too well. I wanted to offer you some private training, what do you say?"
Hinata's eyes immediately shot open and seemed to glow with anticipation. "Really?! You'll help me, suga? When? Will I really get better?"
With a chuckle suga stretched an arm out to point at the gym. "After practice, stay late. It's also a Friday sooo~," he sang out, putting his hands on his hips "I've already got plans to invite someone to help you out. With me too, of course. So? What do you think?"
"I'm so excited, yes! Who will you be inviting? Is it someone I know?" Hinata's eagerness and joy seemed to overflow like the water from Gon's nen test. He'd never been invited to something like this. Getting special private practice was something Hinata never thought he'd get.
"It's definitely someone you know but you'll have to wait and find out who it is. I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise."
Before Hinata could say anything, suga added, "I think your setter over there is getting impatient. You'd better go see if he wants anything."
Looking over, Kageyama could be seen with an intense gaze staring directly at Hinata and suga. It's hard to say whether he looked angry, eager, or intrigued. To be fair, it was likely a combination of each.
That strange intensity from Kageyama made Hinata's skin crawl. "Ah yeah, you're right. I'll go check on him now," he said with a chill. "And thank you, suga!"
Kageyama watched as Hinata jogged over. He was curious as to what him and the vice captain were talking about. The overwhelming joy and happiness radiating from him was too much. Or at least too much compared to his usual self.
"Kageyamaaa" Hinata whined. "What's with the scary looks you keep giving me? Did you miss me?" He teased.
After hitting the tangerine over the head, Kageyama wore his usual angry expression and crossed his arms. "Like I'd ever miss you, you redheaded ruler."
