The drive home was peaceful. Suga drove while Hinata slept soundly in the passengers seat. The air was cool and leaked through the cracks of the windows, allowing for a remarkably calm atmosphere.Once stopped, Hinata seemed to wake up on cue.
"You awake? I can carry you in if you want."
Hinata stretched his arms and turned to suga with tired eyes. "That's alright, I can walk."
Once inside, suga headed to the kitchen while Hinata wandered off; likely to sugas room or the couch.
His home was quite...homey. Like your rich friends house. There were strange vases and decorations that filled the empty corners, not allowing any blank space.
The kitchen was nice too. Dark marble countertops, a large sink, black fridge, and just an overall grey aesthetic.
There, suga cooked up a large bowl of rice, some fish, vegetables and miso soup. He tried his best to make a meal that corresponded with both of their meal plans.
After a moment of wandering, suga found Hinata face down in the living room couch.
"I made dinner. Come on, you've gotta eat after all the work you put in today. You must be exhausted." Suga shook his shoulder, not getting a response.
He was about to go in for another shake before he saw hinatas eyes flutter slightly.
That little shit was awake.
"Come on, quit pretending to be asleep."
No answer.
Next thing he knew, Hinata was smacked in the face full force with a pillow. And it was one of those uncomfortable couch pillows too.
"Ah!" He cried out in pain after rolling off the couch. "What was that for?"
"I know you can smell the food I made. While you were pretending to be asleep it was getting cold." Suga walked off to the kitchen. "Come here! I won't let you sleep without food."
Hinata groaned, still tired. "Yes!" He called. Hinata wasn't exactly afraid of suga, but rather, felt obligated to obey him since he was the vice captain.
After sitting down and taking his first bite, Hinata woke right up. It was a nice feeling after such a long day.
After cleaning his plate—much faster than suga if I may add—Hinata rested his head in his hands and stared across the table.
"What's up?" Suga asked, though he was already aware of the decoys question.
"So about what you said earlier..." He had to stop and think. He didn't exactly know what to ask. "Why were talking about me like that? You kinda strayed from the original idea."
"Hinata, have you figured out why you feel the way you do around Kageyama?" Suga set his utensils down and made very direct eye contact with hinata.
Beginning to fidget with his fingers, Hinata answered. "Not really. I've never experienced the feeling before so I have nothing to compare it to. Maybe it's like a subconscious thing! Like I'm secretly afraid of him judging me if I mess up...so I mess up. You know, on accident."
"Get up." Suga grabbed his and Hinata's plate and was quick to clean them up. "Come on, we're going somewhere."
Hesitantly, Hinata got up and followed suga out to the car.
The more he hung out with him, the more Hinata realized suga had another side to him. A good side, surely. But nonetheless, a side.
Suga checked the time as he started the car.
