"Suga, before you let them in-""Hinata, I know what you're going to say. We'll talk about this after practice, you can spend the night if you'd like."
Hinata nodded and leapt off to the door, excited to see his new training partners once more.
Standing there was obviously iwaizumi and oikawa, ready to help out this helpless child.
"So, any better than the last time we saw you?" Oikawa asked, stretching his arms after he pushed through the door.
"Come on, crappykawa. It's been no longer than maybe a day or two. Of course he hasn't gotten any better." Iwaizumi received an upturned frown in response.
"Well I think shoyo can get better in a day if he puts his mind to it."
"Since when are you so encouraging? Just get your ass ready to practice and try keeping your mouth shut for a minute."
Oikawa ignored him and turned to Hinata. Looking down, he noticed the shorter's expression was less than that of excitement. His face wasn't as cheery as usual and he lacked that usual "glow." He just seemed..neutral.
"What's up with this, suga? Did you remind him he's short or something? I don't see why he'd be complaining. You know what they say, that extra length goes-"
Another bOnK had been received by oikawa for the second time this week. Iwaizumi just had to angrily stare at him to get him quiet.
"Hmph." Oikawa shrugged.
"Anyway," iwa started, "What's up with you, kid? You don't exactly seem sad or anything, just not as enthusiastic as usual."
Hinata went back and forth between his thoughts. He was definitely confused by the whole prank call scenario, it was just hard to pinpoint what about it upset him. Kageyama never admitted to liking anyone..at least not some girl or another guy from the team.
If anything, he seemed to be looking out for Hinata and almost sounded jealous. Which was definitely not a common tone heard from the setter.
"Well...," Hinata glanced at suga, who, despite (sorta) causing his confused state, only smiled and watched as he struggled to think up a sentence. "You know what, I'm alright! Let's hurry and start."
Since suga said he could spend the night, Hinata figured he could wait to sort out his thoughts til then.
"If you say so. Now, are we working on receives or that serve? We can always do both too, so which one?" Iwaizumi grabbed a ball and tossed it up a couple times.
"I think I should try the serve with Kageyama from now on. I should use my time practicing something I can't do very well when I'm with you guys."
Hinata jogged over to the court, waiting for the others to follow.
"I've got a suggestion!" Oikawa announced. "To make things a little more interesting." He smirked.
Suga hesitated but soon asked, "And what's that? You better not have brought alcohol..or anything else."
"No no no, of course not. I want to send one of my most powerful serves to chibi-chan by the end of the night. If he can handle it, by which I mean actually hold his ground and get it up, then I'll give him yet another special privilege to practice with me." He looked absolutely full of himself but he was 100% sincere.
"I can't say that's much of a special privilege," suga turned to hinata, "But if you think you can handle it by tonight then I guess you'll see what what this "privilege" is that oikawas talking about. You interested, Hinata?"
