Kageyama- I think it would be a good idea for you to meet me after practice on Monday

Kageyama usually wasn't this bold, but in his current situation, he felt like he had a rush of adrenaline. Or maybe a boost of confidence?

He's had this plan to meet up with Hinata after practice one day and just talk. Talk about his feelings and try to make something of them.

However, this has been an ongoing scenario in his head. Like a mini fantasy. There's basically a 0% chance of it actually happening according to plan — or at all.

But too late now. The text has been sent and already seen.

Hinata- Oh why? Did you need help with something?

Yeah yeah, Hinata is dense. We all get the joke, but he's not that dense. He's just playing it safe and not jumping to conclusions.

While he nearly fainted after seeing that message, he's still smart enough to not make a total fool of himself.

Kageyama- yeah..something like that

Kageyama- just make sure to walk home with me like usual, don't stay late

Hinata smiled at his phone, which Kageyama was barely able to see being so far away. But he saw it, nonetheless.

And it only made him feel even woozier.

Hinata- Okay :D

Hinata- It better not be over something stupid >:( I could be using that time to practice

Kageyama- shut up all you ever do is practice

Hinata- ...says you ☹️

Hinata- You're the one I'm always practicing with

Kageyama had to withhold the urge to bring up the late night practice Hinata had been having with the others. He would only kill the mood talking about that.

Kageyama- whatever dumbass, why don't you go get that book

Hinata felt a shiver. Strange.

Hinata- What if I already got the book 😗

Kageyama- that would work in my favor, I'd get the book then

Hinata- 🤨

Hinata- No

Hinata- It's the other way around, right?

Hinata- Right ???

Kageyama- did you seriously forget?

Hinata- YOU ACT LIKE YOU DIDNT FORGET TOO

Kageyama- SO??

Kageyama- YOURE THE ONE WHO MADE THE RULES YOU DUMBASS

Hinata- NOT THE POINT

Kageyama- YES IT IS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER THE RULES YOU MADE UP

Hinata sulked. Sure, he forgot how the bet worked but he was still looking forward to it.

"Uh, suga?"

Suga and the others turned to him.

"Yeah, what's up?"
