chapter 3

"Clayton!" Professor Mainsley shouts. I was zoning out again looking out the window, I was thinking about the boy. I had only just spoken to him, yeah I've seen him around hogwarts but this is our first interaction. So why am I thinking about him? Was it how mad he looked or was it something else? When Mainsley shouts I nearly jump of my chair at the sudden noise, I should be used to it by now, "do you have the homework?". My stomach drops. I was meant to copie Nicks but I forgot! And he still hasn't re done my tie, " no professor I lost it" Mainsley rolls his eyes which only fuels my annoyance, it's almost as if he wants me to loose my temper or something. "When will you remember clay?" He sighs, "when will you finally stop balding?" I mumble but obviously not quiet enough as the rest of the class burst out laughing and Mainsley stares at me as if I slapped him, "right! Detention it is then clay!" Before I could stop myself, I slip out "your so tight all the time lighten up" the class laugh more an I realise I'm crossing the line so I force my mouth shut, "I'm warning you boy" Mainsley says between gritted teeth, "one more comment or disobedience then you will be sent to headmaster Craft with two detentions" I open my mouth, but shut it again. Once the laughter died down Mainsley returned to his explanation about blah blah and blah blah and how the blah blah affected the blah blah. I stare out the window agin wishing it would be lunch soon and I could leave. In the windows reflection I see Tommy and Nick whispering and looking in my direction, what are the doing? When they stop I continue to not pay attention to the lesson and think back to shortie and how his face was so funny when he had it scrunched up in anger, how short he was, how pretty he wa--- suddenly something hits me on the back of the head. I look around and see Tommy and Nick stifling a laugh as I see a piece of parchment scrunched up on the floor. I look at Nick with a warning look in my eye. He knows I'm p*ssed and angry and knows soon enough I will loose my temper as usual, he was just speeding up the process. Even I know that when I yell at teachers it was always a good show for everyone. I flip him off and throw back the ball right as Mainsley turns round. I can see Nick rub his hands together, he knows he's done it. "Right I've had enough clay go to the headmasters office right now I'm sick of your inappropriate behaviour and disruption" I glare at him trying to keep my cool and say through gritted teeth, "but I didn't start it" I point to Nick, " that d*ckhead did" Nick is trying to stop laughing, I'm trying to stay calm." More inappropriate language! And I didn't see him so leave please." "Of coirse you didn't see him over you fat ass nose and even if you did you would just pick on me like you always f*cking do!" I grab my bag and head to the door seeing all my friends laughing. Why did they always do this? "I didn't want to be  in this sh*tty lesson anyways" I growl. Before I reach the door I walk past Nicks table and see him dying of laughter. I knock over his ink pot and whisper whilst laughing "f*ck you Nick" he stands up knocking the chair over and looks at me no longer laughing just his mouth in a large o shape, "clay leave NOW" "yeah yeah I know" I yank the classroom door open and slam it behind me so I made the best exit as possible and make my way to the office.

I walk down the hall absolutely furious muttering to myself as I make my way to Headmaster Crafts office. I reach the door and knock. "Come in!" I flung open the door the sit down in a green velvet chair throwing down my satchel, " I thought it was you Clay" Phil says. "Why because I always come here?" I scoff. He looked at me, "no, I practically heard your argument from here" oh. My leg starts bouncing up and down as Phil eyes my p*ssed face. "Clay, I think we need to talk" my leg stops bouncing. Oh no.
