Every four months when the moons align a path towards the temple of Shelton emerges from Olga, the water body that surrounds the temple. Every four months a young soldier goes to question the supreme beings who are said to watch over Micralanza. Every four months she starts out with this question

"Oh great Fury, mother of war, daughter of the dead hear my cry, who am I?"

They had stopped answering her because they were prideful beings who did not like the bitter taste saying 'I do not know' leaves them with. Today was however her lucky day for the ground shook and purple mist seeped in through the cracks in the wall. It had been a while since she heard from any of the gods in the council of conflicts, but Fury's voice was unforgettable. When she spoke mere mortals, commoners if you may, would not last a second before falling to their knees in agony but she was no commoner. She was a weapon of her lands making, weakness was foreign to her and pain was alien to her. Fury's voice thundered

"Amethyst, daughter of the worst of our kind; you were born from the kind that runs from wars, they who despise darkness and dwell in the light. You are a descendant of disappointment. she continued "Micralanza is indeed proud of you and you give the council hope for the end of the other worlds. Sadly, my dear bloodhound your blood is poisoned, so you are weak and with that weakness you are bound to die."

Fear is an interesting thing, one day you are a fighter and the next a runner, but this changes only when you acknowledge the presence of fear. The truth is Amethyst Nãlan started to feel the gaze of fear. "Daughter of the unknown I fear troubling times approach use your gift wisely." Neitrath (pronounced knee-tra-th) rarely spoke but when he did notes had to be taken there was no room for mistakes "Pardon me Neitrath but I do not follow, what gift?" Amethyst was not given an answer, but her time was up, and it was time to leave the temple.

On her way out of the temple she stumbled upon a scroll with words written in golden ink. As she was beginning to read, she felt the presence of another "Well if it isn't the golden child of the house of Nãlan, is that another gift from the council?" Usually, he was good with hiding his emotions, but Amethyst grew up with Jeriah she could tell when he was amused. "You would think that after all these years you would realize that jealousy only makes you uglier." He smirked "This face is absolutely heavenly, I have swooning commoners to prove it."

She was lost in her thoughts by the time he was done, she just could not decide how to cut off his smirk without getting caught. She was then snapped back into reality when she noticed it was silent.

"The errand boy Jeriah Nãlan, what brings you to such sacred grounds?" His reply was no surprise because in her book he was just on this planet to do everyone elses bidding "Amethyst my dear sister, I am soon to be your king and you shall call me your highness. I must also add that the elders have summoned thee" He lost her at dear because she usually just tunes him out after the first few words are said "Amethyst you do not know how long I have been praying for you to be mute, but I don't think you want to go to the elders with that attitude."

"Honestly Jeriah why didn't you start off with that you incompetent fool." He chose to ignore her, and she chose to walk away from him towards the elders tent.

Most people do not get to know the elders but the few who do are either a part of the monarch or about to be executed. There are many legends surrounding their existence but our young solider sees them as they are, hags with the power to instil fear but in Micralanza she has learnt that it is a respectable trait. After entering the tent, the elders wasted no time to get down to business. Elder one began with "my child though the sky has cleared..." then elder two added in "We have seen the mist of Fury..." Elder three joined in " when she speaks, we listen has she warned us of challenges yet to come?" Amethyst was never big on sharing personal information and she was not going to warm up to the idea, especially not to the people who may be my executioners, so she lied. Lying is normal in Micralanza but lying to the elders is rare but Amethyst loved to be a rare case so she told them all is well, and future may proceed. They pretended like they believed her but when she was leaving their quarters, she heard them whispering about deception.

What they were really discussing was how to get away with murder. 'She lies Elder 1 stated exactly after Amethyst left the tent. It is time we get rid of that brat" Elder 2 said with disgust but Elder 3 was thinking rationally he came up with the perfect idea "Though the first law prevents this we can make it work if we do exactly what I say" Elder 3 could not help but grin at his own comment.

Some would say it was fate, but our soldier would call it being unfortunate; While on her way to her living quarters she ran into Jeriah again "Your presence is needed at the gate "general" I have gotten news of unknown forces approaching our gates." With that she rushed off to gate and gathered a total of twenty soldiers enough for a small armys downfall. She was prepared for an army, but she was met by a woman suspended into the air with a glowing staff. Amethyst did not let this display of power get under her skin, but her arrogance died down a bit.

"Soldiers of Micralanza I come in peace, on behalf of the queen of Thritia. I Qwen of the house of Levi, daughter of Anzula have come bearing a message from one sovereign to another." All twenty soldiers charged at her, but she just held up her staff and watched as all the soldiers withered away with agonizing screams. Qwen then looked at Amethyst "My message comes through a jewel of many wonders so go forth my messenger." With that Qwen disappeared and a blue jewel fell into Amethyst's arms.
