"This is a list of the first twenty people we looked at."Amethyst handed over the list to the group.
"Team Delta seems like it is what is going to change the entire game Amethyst and why is it that every team has a noble?"
"Well Nab Press, Beatré and I needed diversity."
Amethyst handed Nab Press two letters one sealed and the other addressed to her "We have a hunt going on and I want you to take the reigns give the sealed one to the overseeing officer and I want you to memorize and carry out the instructions in yours. Leave no evidence of that letter" Nab Press nodded and Ćib Riat took out a pouch "I assume you got it?" Ćib Riat handed the pouch to Amethyst "Well what did you expect me to do? Of course I got it."
Amethyst smiled "Thank you. Phase two starts in exactly two hours."The two women left the room leaving only Amethyst and her guard who was yet to receive his task
"I must say I am surprised you know my name.I heard you didn't know the last guards name and he worked for you for a while." Amethyst rolled her eyes at the arrogant child in the body of a man she only wished to have him here so he could direct her to her previous guard who had appearently vanished after the crowning ceremony "Phew is an awful name I don't think anyone would want to forget it, but I what I need from you is simple, I want you to find the last guard I had but please do so discreetly." He looked like he was carefully constructing a lie but Amethyst could tell he wouldn't come up with a story that could stick. "I don't mean to seem braggadocios but I can do the things he can can't I ?" He began considering his options and he started thinking out loud "I knew he should have left it alone but nooo 'it's not everyday a Trithian quotes a warlords most famous words' that boy will be the death of us."Amethyst looked at him strangely because as of a few moments ago she was sure he was bratty but sane "Or better yet if I don't see the guard I am speaking of by the end of the day we will have an issue and- "
She was cut off by Beatré who burst into the room and yelled "We know what she took!"
Beatré dragged Amethyst out of the room to a very full and loud inventors tower where she began explaining why see had to resolve to physical contact ,"The inventors finished translating the scrolls and it turns out Eureka had a unique energy source it also happens to be a rock of myths.Wèverly took all documents referring to energy sources and we found out where the machine is." Amethyst thought that this was getting ridiculous "How are we going to get an artifact that nobody knows if it exists?" The worst part about this is that they knew that getting this machine to work was their only way to survive the war.The good news was that the machine was still in the castle but the bad news was that Wèverly had people who were very busy in the castle when she threw a blast of energy at her sisters. They still didn't know the full extent of the damage she caused. Wèverly surprisingly did not destroy the machine but the inventors were assuming that Wéverly took the energy source and they have to look for a substitute and who better to find it than everyone's favourite talking rock, Jewel.
"Honestly I thought I would only see you at formal events or rituals. " If she had a face I bet she would look extremely disappointed. "If it isn't my favourite...."
"Just ask what you want. We both know you don't have time for this"
"What do you know about Salvos Petram and how does it run a machine."
"My knowledge of Salvos Petram is based off of rumours." She was obviously beating around the bush, one minute she wants Amethyst to hurry but the next she is withholding information.
"The words of rumours a descendants of the words of truth, so let me find the truth in the lies."
"Well my queen, it holds the story of our beginning and our end. It holds our faith and hopes for a brighter future."
Jewel went on about how Salvos Petram is rumoured to be a sign of the end of times and more things that didn't make any sense. Who tries to swallow a stone that gives off weird energy, though that is besides the point. Amethyst was about to tell jewel that the folklore was getting to her head but she realized something."Jewel the stone is slightly Blue isn't it?"
"I didn't get to that part of the story yet." Amethyst couldn't decide whether or not she has enough time to do all the things she has planned and to get on jewels bad side. So Amethyst grabbed her and started leaving the room just in case she finds the time.
"PUT ME DOWN I'M NOT TRAVEL SIZED I'M A CASTLE OBJECT, I DON'T DO ADVENTURE!" Amethyst thought that she may start taking her out more often because jewel will just love the uncertainty. "Where is the respect we started out with Jewel? If I didn't know any better I would think that you only tolerate me because you have to.""Are you talking to a rock?" In attempts to turn around swiftly Amethyst almost dropped Jewel but thankfully her reflexes did not disappoint. "Usually, that's the first sign of insanity and not that I specialize in war or anything but is that the way to lead an army?"
"Pardon?" Amethyst couldn't see his cloaked face but she had a feeling she knew who stood before her
"The rock, I came in here to talk to you but you were having a one way conversation with a rock. That's why I asked if you should be leading an army."
"My conversation was not one way, besides when it comes to war all the greats were crazy."
"So you are admitting to being crazy then."
"Is that your way of complimenting me because I do not think that is how it works."
"How did you get a compliment out of being called crazy?" Amethyst couldn't tell if he was joking or not, but that didn't seem like her problem.Amethyst thought of leaving but quickly decided against it because even if she wanted to she couldn't leave ;he stood at the entrance there were no windows and she still didn't want to get too close to him. A lot can change with a person and right now she didn't know whether or not he was friend or foe. He took off his hood and there stood the guard that was the only person who made her watch her own back when he passed by. A slice of home, security in the knowledge that you are aware of what makes you safe.
"Is this the part where you introduce yourself or are we just going to keep speaking like you didn't disappear with my property."
"I am Agama Abel and I hear that Micralanza challenged your land. I was sent to help."
When he said that Amethyst realized he was wearing a silver medal similar to that of sir Enderwhich's family but that would make him a full- blooded Micralanzan. Needless to say she didn't trust him anymore than before but she knew he was not an ally of Micralanza.
"You are a Vllnzeñan heir you do not help. What exactly is the price of your generosity?"
"I know you know what it is. Why do you think I wore my medal, to look formal? I am here to humbly and formally offer my assistance to the Queen of the North and her people because our interests allign."
"You look like you plan on sneaking into and out of the castle, how do I know you won't kill me? I've heard stories about your kind."
He looked like he was about to explode when Bèatre stormed in
"Where the bloody blade have you been Amethyst! and this stranger is, oh wait isn't that your guard that disappeared?""Yes indeed it is in fact the missing guard."
"I am just someone who wants to help."
Agama and Amethyst spoke at the same time confusing Bèatre
"So.... I interrupted something didn't I. Well, I do apologise but we are running a tad late don't you think?" She looked between Agama and her sister "Why is he really back?"
"He is Agama Abel a full-blooded Micralanzan, and according to my old teachings it is said that they are bottom of the dumb and you can not trust them at all."
For some reason Agama did not like the introduction he was given.
"No I'm Agama Abel the last line of true blood heirs to the bloodlust and Micralanza you, my dear Amethyst Nāilan, were in line to warm my throne."
"Ah, so not only do we have a full-blood here but he is also a prince. I'd call this the hitting gold Bèatre."
"At least he isn't as scrawny as your brother, let him help us sister he can't be any worse than you."
