No surprise, Bronon was right. After being pulled through the barrier Amethyst got a glimpse of their base but she could also see beyond the barrier. Her teammates were still pinned down and no matter how much she tried to get their attention they could neither see nor hear her. So Amethyst Nãlan chose to do the only thing she could, hunt. That is until she found game fit for a queen.
"I am outnumbered so this seems quite unfair." Amethyst sometimes forgets that she has been fighting ever since she could remember. She turned her shield into a second sword that resembled her first. It had been a while since she fought with two swords but one can never truly forget something they learnt. Here she was standing in between the two defenders, with two swords drawn ready to see if she still remembered how to use two swords at the same time. They wanted to see too, so they attacked in sync.
The defenders were extremely fast and it was almost impossible to counteract the attacks. I know this is getting old and you are tired of hearing me say she survived but you should get used to it because she really is that good because she didn't train day and night with people twice her size to became an average fighter.
As I was saying, the defenders were good but at the end Amethyst was standing and they were not. She quickly ran into the base and alerted the outside world that the base of Neptan belonged to the North. After doing that all the defense mechanism stopped firing at the team. That is, the ones they hadn't destroyed.
Now it was time to carry out phase two of the plan. Amethyst took out the flare gun. She shot two white flares into the air for her sisters. She then waited for a response within the five minutes they had decided on and at five minutes and thirty-six seconds she saw another pair of white flares in the sky followed by another pair. This meant that the teams claimed their first land and they were ready to meet. All they would have to do is use a device that Bronon and Bèatre's inventor created to find the location at the center of all three flares. Each team had one of these devices. With these handy devices what could possibly go wrong.
The problem was that while Amethyst and her team were on their merry little way to her sisters Phantasma decided on offense instead of defense. Firstly, the land doesn't move to the conquerors if that was how things were there would be no such thing as rebellions. So you can imagine their shock when the five angry women who represented the land came at them with weapons that were not enchanted. Not only does this mean Phantasma forfeits their right to duel it also means that they broke the only and most important rules in the battle. Breaking the rules didn't matter to Amethyst because either way she's going to hurt someone there, enchanted sword or not. With weapons that threatens the life of the a future queen Amethyst thought that this act of treason is punishable by death.
How to carry out their sentence is what Amethyst was concerned about because her team had weapons that would give what the feeling of the wound would be. Unfortunately the wounded person would only be down for an hour or maybe even a few minutes. She maybe if things got too serious she would have to kill them with her bare hands or keep them for a later date after defeating them. Later date it is "Well let me introduce...." Amethyst was cut off, unbelievable. The shortest one out of the five decided what she had to say was much more important than what I Amethyst was saying " We know who you are I am Jūnshì and these are my sisters. If you beat me not only do you get our land you stay alive." I couldn't help but laugh
" This battle was to prove that I respect your culture but seeing how you did not abide by the only rules my people added shows your lack of respect for us, Such disrespect does not go unpunished." Jūnshì (her name is pronounced jee-shi, you probably butchered it before so you are most welcome ) scoffed "You are not strong enough to have our land!!!" Amethyst smiled "Our victory will say otherwise."
That was apparently the signal everyone was waiting for because as those words left her mouth the fighting began. Jūnshì was good but for the girl with the deadly weapon she surely did not think of using it to kill Amethyst or maybe she did but it was just too hard to do. The whole ordeal was getting no where and Amethyst was tired of Jūnshi's constant smiling and her annoying talking. Amethyst took her sword that couldn't kill anyone and started making her enemy feel pain and when she was done she her again for good measure.
Amethyst looked at her still standing practice dummy disarmed and at her mercy. The queen to be used her sword to slice Jūnshi's neck, it didn't really happen but she felt it and she fell on her knees while holding her neck, Amethyst could have stopped there but she was not finished. "Aren't you a lucky fellow, can you imagine having the feeling of being decapitated don't be such a baby about this many people actually have a slit throat. Suck it up I'm not done yet. " Jūnshi could not hide the pain but now she would shut up Amethyst knows she might've gone a bit far with what she did next and she have no good excuse for it but she did it. She stabbed her directly in the heart then whispered in her ear
" As promised, my victory. If only you could stop choking on imaginary blood to address me as your soon to be queen."
Amethyst removed her blade from her chest and pushed her to the ground. She was just about done with her when Bronon, Ćib Riat and Nab Press walked towards her, away from their unconscious opponents. They looked down at Jūnshì fascinated by the fact that her nose was bleeding and she was barely conscious. "What's happening to her." Ćib Riat looked concerned. Nab Press was looking at Amethyst but Bronon was looking at Jūnshì for he too was intrigued by our current discovery "Our enchanted weapons can cause physical harm if your body believes that what it is feeling is real." Nab Press nodded while saying "Fascinating." Bronon finally spoke up "I don't suppose we can see how far this goes but it truly is interesting." Jūnshì was shaking at this point no one could tell if she was cold or not but
Ćib Riat rushed over to see if she could help the girl. Amethyst thought of helping but repairing broken things is not exactly her forte but at least she thought of it. Bronon and Nab didn't care they turned away to talk to me. "When are you going to let the outside world know you have the base of Phantasma?"
"Nab that is a good point, any suggestions Bronon?"
"Tell your sisters you can't make it and go to the base." The plan seemed fair enough so the three agreed on it. Bronon and Nab Press went to set off one red flare and Amethyst went to inform Ćib Riat of the change in plans.
"Did you do this to her?" Ćib Riat was still checking on the girl "Which part, because I did a lot."Ćib Riat looked at her friend searching for remorse but she found nothing. Bronon told her about Amethyst's upbringing but she didn't believe it until that very moment. She came to a conclusion Amethyst Nãlan is dangerous and to think otherwise is the action of a fool. "What do you want?"
"I apologize if my actions have unnerved you that was not my intention. We are going to the base first then to my sisters."
"We can not just leave her like this, she is a citizen of your land!!"
"Correction, she is of Anzula and have yet to claim the land she represents therefore making her a regular person bold enough to advertise their disregard for the rules set by my land. You may see a victim but I see a sign of troubled waters."
Amethyst walked away saying "You can either be in the ship built to survive it or the row boat that got caught in it."
