"I thought the ceremony was finished." This was the common question asked but the answer was just as common "My child it is not safe to talk about this now, wait." They ended up in a dark room that the priests thought was perfect, they all lit candles and formed a circle around The Ferox sisters. Amethyst wasn't liking this one bit but the priests told them to listen "We fear there is a storm coming and we believe that it will be the end of Anzula itself." Then the person next to that one said "So for the very first time in many years we plan to make the power of the ancestors flow through living vessels. Another person then stated "As of this morning you began the process by drinking from the chalice now we must finish the ritual." A fourth person spoke "It is the only way to live through the effects of the serum you drank." Then the fifth person spoke "This is how you are welcomed into our world and you have already accepted our invitation." The sixth and final person told everyone to begin and then all Amethyst could feel was pain, she could hear screams not knowing if they were her own or not and all she saw was red.
Screaming, lots and lots of it. The girls could feel their own fevers and they felt like they were dying a hundred deaths but every time they resurrect they had to experience a different death ten times worse than the previous. Amethyst went from seeing red to seeing black and all the pain started to feel like a distant memory that stung when thought of. She woke around the same time as her sisters only to see three of the six priests standing around them and burn marks where the other three were standing.
"Where.... priests....three now." Okay so their record low energy at the moment was no joke, not shocking at all but what is shocking is that she was understood. The three priests answered in unison "For us to have received the blessings we asked for a sacrifice was made. Our work here is done." The queens had to be carried to their different bed chambers and were bedridden for a few days and unconscious for most of it. When all of Amethyst's energy came back she realized that their were drawings on her skin. The symbols of Phantasma and Neptan were on the same hand as the largest drawing, which was a lion with wings and a small stretch of scales around its legs, it also had a tail with spikes. On her other hand there was a symbol that she didn't quite understand but I knew it had something to do with Abrose, as it had the symbol that represented his name in it. After seeing this her first thought was to take a walk and she found that people were already trying to rebuild houses and the castle.
On her way back to her quarters she heard a scream and saw guards rushing towards the chamber.
"What is the meaning of this?" Everyone turned around and had a look of relief on their faces
"My queen, we thought someone had taken you." A maid who was crying told Amethyst this while rushing towards me to make sure she was okay. "Why was a guard not at my door then?" They told her that she was guarded in shifts and it was the second shifts turn but when they got there the room was empty " When changing shifts the first shift shouldn't leave until the second gets there." Amethyst let it slide though considering that she left without notifying anyone.
"Are my sisters awake?" They seemed to have mixed emotions about the topic "Of the three of you all but one left their slumber Milady." Amethyst thought that of course Bèatre would try and wake up first, but the maid said "Wéverly woke up a day after the ceremony in fact she was at your father's side when he succumbed to the venenum that flowed in his veins." Amethyst had forgotten about the predicament she left her father in. It's sad that Wéverly had to go through that alone not to mention how awful she must have felt when she was the only one who woke up.
When Amethyst went to see her she was talking to the remaining priests of Anzula "Áxios my dear, I was just about to send for you." Muhzil turned to Amethyst. Wéverly explained "The priests of Anzula are concerned about us and our reactions in the ceremony. They don't understand why we felt so much pain when the thing we drank from the chalice was supposed to prevent that." Truth is there were a lot of concerns and only a little time to discuss these things but the things that really stood out in their little meeting were :
1.) Bèatre did a dramatic entrance (yes they woke up on the same day so now it is not as special as it was, not that it matters now.)
2.) They all have drawings on our skins but apparently the only one that is similar is the one with the symbol of Abrose.
3.) The drawings are called tattoos and they are connected to their bearer. They tell a story about who the bearer is as a person.
4.) We can now do the impossible
5.) Wéverly already took care of the traitors from the battle with a completely private and fair trial.
6.) A Dragon hunt
So now that we are all caught up here is what was happening not too long ago. You do remember the small group of Micralanzan soldiers right because I do. They were put, The ones who wanted to fight went on trial and they were found guilty some begged for forgiveness and a way to pay their dues to society but that was after we executed a few smart mouths. No they didn't execute the commander first, he had to see his faith. No he wouldn't survive if he had even pleaded for mercy and no it was not a public execution, no need for that mess. By the end of the day they were free of trouble makers and they also had people who were willing to work for nothing but of course they couldn't let that happen so they are fed and sheltered. The day after that Amethyst tried to find titles to give to Ćib Riat, Nab Press and Bronon to show the entire kingdom that they should be respected. The nobles were not happy about it but they also weren't happy with the fact Amethyst used to live in Micralanza.
For the whole week all they did was rebuild but as per usual nothing went as planned as a matter of fact everything started going downhill from that moment on, like really downhill And I am going to tell you every single thing that happened even if it is the last thing I do. There was no peace in Thritia its own monarch made sure of it and that was the problem.
