Amethyst's first order of business was house cleaning and she decided to start at the filthiest part of the house. "Hello healers, I'd like to see the women who represented you in the battle." Amethyst walked into the infirmary with one thing in mind while Beatré only wished to observe.
"Milady and lady Beatré it's an honour to meet you I've heard many things about you. Some of them have family with them now but I could let them leave if you will allow it."
Amethyst didn't mind having an audience in fact what she was about to do in fact she may have needed one.
"That will not be necessary lead the way."
Amethyst saw a weeping mother over her first target and she smiled ready to address the people inside "Phantasma Anzula I do not like spies and those who help them. Am I to assume that the spies represent what you genuinely think?"
Everyone looked around uneasily rumours had surfaced about the lost daughter being positively dangerous and Jūnshi's unconscious body was proof, the fighters were still wounded, and they said that Jūnshi fought with the woman who was to oversee them. The woman who just asked them a question. No one was sure if these were true, but no one asked questions they just listened
"Today I want messengers, the people who have seen me in action and those who saw the end results." Amethyst looked towards Jūnshi and grinned, only to see Jūnshi's mother run to her screaming
"You did this!!She hasn't gotten up my baby hasn't gotten up. You disgust me, I'll kill you!"
Beatré shook her head, and the entire building went silent because Amethyst instantly lost her grin You did this. You taught your daughter how to kill but not how to return respect when it is given. You are a great teacher, but you are lacking in the mother department. Which mother makes a threat like that when all she has depends on those she has threatened." Amethyst turned to the healer "Unplug our machine let her take her chances separated from Trithia." People looked on in shock and the healer hesitated as if deciding what to do and Amethyst raised her eyebrow. The healer made his decision and went to unplug the machine. "Áxios, why not spare the girl and teach her respect when she awakens." Amethyst thought about it but she really liked the idea of pulling the plug. "I don't know Beatré I feel like ending their bloodline, I'm already settling, you know...why not. IF, our dearest Jūnshi decides to grace us with her presence we could decide what to do with her."
Amethyst walked closer to Jūnshi and said loud enough for most people to hear "Until next time Jūnshi, do rest well for I can assure this is not mercy." Turning to the other fighters Amethyst smiled "Don't think I forgot you lot you will get what is coming but I suggest you rest up too." Amethyst saw a shaken-up man standing where a confident healer once was "I will never ask you to do such a thing again healer Kiöne, you have my word. No one here has to attend the general assembly scheduled for this evening you all got the message. Have a pleasant day." As she walked through the door she heard sighs of relief, mumbling and a crying mother. Amethyst went to Phantasmas house of monarch she marched directly into the throne room to prepare for the assembly.
"Is that a hammer Áxios?" Beatré looked at her sister with uncertainty it was obvious she was spiralling but she is not sure what bringing it up will do "Well spotted sister, I am to host a meeting in this room and I am not sure if I want to sit on the throne or smash it."
"The importance of such a decision is ?"
"This chair is used to remember previous rulers the house is to remind them of their glory days and I want to burn it down."
"Mother said rulers build not destroy Áxios."
Amethyst looked at her sister
"My father said a true ruler never builds on rotting structure; Rulers build so their kingdoms stand tall."
*********
"I will not wait on your silence." Her cold tone commanded silence "I am to speak with the people, you have the opportunity to ask questions now but do not interrupt me later when I am addressing you."
"What makes you think you are fit to lead us?"
"I took your land, lawfully if I might add, so I am to look after it and it's natives. What makes you fit enough to be led by me?"
"It's obvious that you lack the traits to lead us."
"Madam what exactly are those traits because I am not seeing strong woman or warriors. When I look through this crowd I see a lot of whining little...."
"We apologize!!" A man from the back yelled. Some people nodded but a few were irritated "That is a start yes but is it the truth? I will believe that Phantasma is a good place when I see good people here."
Amethyst looked at the man who had spoken "Sir why did you apologize for your nation?"
"I am Kiel, I represent the population that was not blessed with abilities Milady. After hearing the events that occurred our first course of action was to do better, and this is a start."
"Thank you Kiel. Is there anyone else?" Since he spoke so freely about those events Amethyst figured that meant everyone in the room knew why they were gathered there. "I apologize on behalf of my family!" A woman at the farthest part of the room yell then all hell broke loose apologies were given for specific households, districts, and regions. Amethyst held up here hand the room started to hush.
"This morning I came here with one word in mind, havoc. While rebuilding the main city of Trithia I found evidence that a lot of damage done came from Anzula, specifically Phantasma Anzula. DID ANYONE NOT TELL YOU THAT BITING THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU WILL ONLY LEAD TO STARVATION!" A few people jumped with the sudden outburst
"YOUR APOLOGIES CAN NOT BURY THE GUARDS THAT DIED DEFENDING THEIR HOME, YOUR APOLOGIES CAN NOT HEAL THE HURT OF THE WIDOWS, WIDOWERS AND ORPHANS YOU HAVE CREATED! Sorry is a word not an action Phantasma, you joined the family of Trithia, and you have already failed them. How do you plan to make it up to your family, the ones who healed your broken minds, cleaned your wounds and respected your rules?"
The people hung their head in shame they thought that their queen was mad about going against her, but they were not focused on the real issue. Today I planned on showing you that you may be able to do the impossible but preying on those who only wish to help you is low and coming from me that should make it worse." Amethyst paused and looked around the room "I came to get rid of traitors, ruin the throne that holds your pride and burn down the house that gives you hope. Phantasma there are two ways to rule, and you are walking down the path that leads to ruling you by fear. Your apologies buy you peace but not forgiveness." An old woman smiled at Amethyst "How do we
get in the good graces of our family my queen?"
"That is entirely up to you."
The meeting was adjourned, and the room cleared up pretty quickly. It was almost as if they did not want to be in the same room with their queen. The same old lady from before came up to Amethyst and bowed "I am Milan the next priestess of Phantasma and I have a message for the one the scroll follows.
Dear golden your job puts you above the luxury your subjects have, you carry your destiny with you and the destiny of heroes to come. Welcome to the higher purpose."
