Amethyst sat in her quarters with three things infront of her a bag, a pouch and a chest. A bag holding a scroll she never got to open, a pouch holding a key she never had the chance to personally receive and a chest with the last words of a family that she keeps losing.
She was seconds away from opening that chest or reading that golden ink when she decided that she'd rather not discover what emotions she was hiding somewhere in her sad excuse of a heart. She sat there for hours staring into space and she probably would have continued staring if there wasn't a knock at the door.

"M'lady I know you have been resting but while making our rounds we heard something in the study and..." She looked at the other guard for help "Well we went in to check and we found a wax sealed envelope that looks like it slid underneath the door addressed to you and..." They looked between each other wondering who should relay the news "So neither of the two of you planned on delivering this information or are you just trying to take up my time?" The first guard gulped "We also found a box addressed to King Abrose from a descendant of Seth? When we went to queen Beatré she thought it was your area of expertise." Amethyst told them to have the items prepared for when she gets down to the study.

Amethyst waited for a while before slowly approaching the letter while mumbling and putting on her gloves"The security in this castle is going to make me rethink this whole better me campaign, I swear everything gets pass these bloody guards." She inspected the envelope, searched for traces of Anzula and it's meddling and she would keep doing these test until she was absolutely sure it was not harmful. Those searches came up empty, she carefully opened the envelope only to find an empty parchment sheet that wasn't as bad as what she found in the box "So not only did I spend all night inspecting an envelope and a box I'll spend the entire day decrypting codes."

Beatré came in with a glowing smile and a cup of tea "It's a beautiful day to feel well rested isn't it Áxios?"
Amethyst looked Beatré dead in the eye "Keep talking like that and one of these beautiful mornings you will find ashes where your herbal tea garden used to be." Beatré only smiled brighter "Plants have a life cycle but time travels a straight path." Amethyst ignored her sister's endless talking and ran fire over the letter and red ink started to reveal itself. Beatre stopped talking "We didn't teach our operatives that. Wait that's where you got the idea from." Beatré took the paper and started looking over the ink "You really shouldn't be touching that without protection." Amethyst stood up and took the letter from Beatré "Speaking of that why did it take you so long to inspect the darn thing?"

Amethyst shook her head "I've killed two officials with letters in two different ways and I could probably give you over five more ways so you don't create a pattern." There was a long pause until Beatré took one last long sip of her tea "Well I guess I should go and do something of value." Before she could exit Amethyst stopped her
"A war was promised through Jewel before Trithia and Anzula became one."
Amethyst couldn't forget about her first encounter with Qwen, she knew the power she held but she was also aware of the power around her. Micralanza was not known for magic and that could be an advantage. However, to whom the advantage belongs to is somewhat of a mystery.

"Mother told Wéverly and I that she grew tired of waiting early. She said she'd finally convinced father to take necessary action when the time was right." Beatré stared out into space looking back at her mother's ranting in sessions she wanted to avoid. "You know I don't think you understand that you might have been mother's favourite daughter, your absence allowed her to create the perfect daughter."
There was no malice nor was there any hurt in her voice, she only smiled lost in a world Amethyst could not join. Looking back Beatré could not judge her mother based off actions done out of pain. "You know we're orphans right? Orphans who can not deal with defeat."

If Amethyst wasn't paying attention before she was at that moment "No mother is still in the incubator."
Beatré looked down at her empty tea cup "You bend light to see possibilities of the past but I see beyond the darkness that cloaks the possibilities we call a future. The possibilities I see will not accommodate our mother." She put down the now cold tea cup and started heading out the door "Trust me when I say she is as good as dead."
Amethyst sat down and let her thoughts run freely in her mind."I might as well go open that chest." She was so close to leaving the parchment with now visible ink but it was as if the red ink whispered to her
"Dearest Queen have ye faith for the allignment has but one dimension instead of two. The snake is here for the catalyst of destruction but the cub fights for the Queen's reign. Hold thy fort and ready thine borders for we have larger turmoils stirring. Thwus a sleepless slumber for those raging waters but have ye faith for we are aquatic from birth. Fife Tribone."
As the letter burned a devilish smile was illuminated by dancing flames.
