"i'm sorry, i'm going to have to ask you to leave." the nurse said, it'd been 5 minutes since his dad stopped breathing.

kyles eyes and hands felt heavy as he walked out. then he remembered zoe, he was sick of being weak infront of her.

he said trailed along the hallway of the hospital to the waiting room that zoe was in.

one look and she knew that his dad was gone. zoe sighed and got up to hug him. she wrapped her arms around him and he shook into the hug, trying to cry but he couldn't. no tears fell.

zoe held kyles hand.

"let's go home." she said, trailing her other hand across his cheek.

kyle and zoe went out to the car, and zoe started the car. as she drove, she tried to hold onto kyles hand but he kept pulling away.

"stop touching me." he mumbled.

zoe nodded sadly and kept driving.

kyle didn't know what he was feeling, but for some reason all he wanted to do was leave. he was done. every week, something new would happen and his life or zoes would fall apart and the world felt like it was nothing but night and tears.

"ugh!" kyle groaned, hitting the car window. he immediately felt bad , though. he didn't want to hurt zoes feelings or upset her, but he was upset.

tears once again glassed over kyles eyes, he wished his dad stayed through his childhood. he wished so many things, but those things couldn't come true.

it was late, maybe 9:30 or 10 by the time zoe and kyle made it back to the coven.

zoe took the keys out of the car.

"kyle, are you okay?" she asked.

kyle shook his head no, letting a few tears fall down his face.

"i'm so sorry about your dad, kyle."

zoe placed her hand on his, caressing his hand.

"zoe how much longer can we do this." he cried.

"what do you mean?"

kyle started sobbing.

"i-i—we cant keep doing this."

zoe was confused.

"kyle.."

"it's just sadness. every week it's something new."

he had a point, but it still made zoe sad.

"the shooting, all the rape, i literally died, my dad died!" he cried, "how much longer can we do this."

zoe grabbed his face and held him in her hands.

"sh. if you need a break, we can take one." zoe said, even though she didn't want to break up she wanted him to be okay.

kyle nodded, he loved zoe more then anything but he was so overwhelmed.

"just for a little while." kyle mumbled.

"i love you, kyle. i'm here if you need me." she said, kissing him and letting go.

"i love you so much." he said, sobbing into his hands, "i'm sorry."

zoe was trying to stop tears from running down her face.

kyle felt a load of sadness and guilt and he just couldn't stop sobbing.

"it's okay." zoe whispered, hugging and kissing him so he could calm down.

after a little while, kyle was able to calm down.

"i'll move back into the extra room." she said, "i'm gonna go now."

"i'm sorry zoe." kyle mumbled as zoe got out of the car, it was late at night.

"i know. it's okay."

zoe cried lightly as she got her things together to move rooms. she knew deep down that this was for the best, but it still hurt.

20 minutes later, she was all packed up and moved over into the extra room thatd she'd stayed in once before. kyle was coming back in now, too.

when he walked into the room to see all of zoes stuff gone, it felt like a stab in the chest. her books were gone or the nightstand, as well as her rings. her toothbrush was gone, and her clothes weren't in the drawers. zoes favorite blanket wasn't laying on the bed anymore either.

kyle pulled his phone out of his pocket. he wanted to text zoe just one time.

kyle: i still love you, i'm sorry but i really feel like this is for the best. i love you, zo.

zoe: i love you too. it's okay. please get some sleep.

the two of them were both heartbroken.
