My eyes snapped open at the sound of my annoying alarm clock. 4:30am I shot up and went to my bathroom to start my morning routine. I Washed up and tied back my long curly hair. Looking in the mirror I saw my wolf showing through as I thought about last week's tragic events. I shook my thoughts away and rushed to get ready.

I cleaned some existing wounds from our last battle and cringed at the sight of what would be a new and nasty scar. I rewrapped my knuckles because my hands were always calloused from fighting, and my arms always bruised.

I shook all my thoughts away again and put on some training shorts and matching sports bra. I laced up my nikes and grabbed my phone and headed out the door.

I started listening to random music as I ran through the dense forest. I got to the pack training room and started to work out immediately. I needed to stay on my toes, after all we were in the middle of a civil war.

Today was no different, I hit the large sand bag over and over until I felt my existing callouses plea for me to stop. I groaned and my harms protested for me to stop as well. I couldn't stop, I could never stop fighting for my pack in its time of need, I am the strongest female fighter in the Blue Tides Moon pack and I will protect everyone. Their will be no more innocent lives taken on my watch.

We are known for fighting and we are undefeated in this war for power so far. But that did not mean we hadn't suffered tragic loss. Nobody wins in war.

I punched in a few more combos and dropped down to start on my daily one thousand push ups. I felt Keller watching my from a distance looking a bit concerned.

"I'm fine Kels I... was.. blowing off some steam" I said panting

"Okay you can lie if you want to but I know you were supposed to be on bed rest since you got stabbed last week" He said while going over to the bench. I was about to reply when My phone rang.

"Carmen, we are going patrolling today. Meet me at the south border I will be late I need supplies"

"Yeah, uh...huh, Okay Celest I will meet you at 6:30, " I rushed out then I hung up on her

Keller stopped benching and came over to embrace me. We had been through so much the past six months it felt like we were in a nightmare we could never wake up from. Keller was the Alpha's son, the next in line and the head general of our army, he was also my brother.

"Keller" I whispered

"Yeah Carmen?" he huffed and patted my head

"We can't let them win, the Rouges needed to be stopped and I think we should use my plan to do it" I looked up and him to see his eyes go hard

" I can't let you do what you are thinking... We don't know enough about you and the risks. I'm sorry I just can't. I'm Alpha next and I need smart thought out moves" he moved away from me and continued his work out as if that moment didn't happen and I let out a harsh growl at him. We were a very serious pack and hugging and showing emotions like we just did happened rarely.

Keller wouldn't go through with a plan I had to put me front and center and use cat and mouse tactics because I was some sort of a hybrid and we just didn't know what I could do or what I was mixed with. I'm a freak of nature and no one would accept me after everything I had been through and my dark past so we kept it a secret.

As I was practicing more combos the door flung open and in walked our Alpha. He was as big as a house at around 7'0 and had strong features. He had bright green eyes with a huge scar going across his left cheek. Keller and I jumped into a solute and waited for his next move.

"Well that took you long enough" he bellowed but was looking at me in the eyes.

"Alpha I was training and got a little carried away, I apologize sir," I said bowing my head.
