Chapter Six

Carmen Pov

"Truth" He grunted

"Did you kill your father?" I asked

He stared at me and his left eye began to twitch he stared at the glass on the table then swallowed all of its alcoholic contents, meaning he didn't have to reveal the truth.

I groaned loudly and slouched. We were playing truth or dare but the drinking version of the game. I was only 19 but I felt as though after everything I've seen and done I deserve a drink.

Ajax kept dodging all of the truth questions I had for me and by now I was sure he was buzzed.

"Your turn, truth or dare" he Said with a smirk

I thought for a moment, "Truth" since I had only done dares

"How old were you when you had your first kill?" He questioned

"10, on my birthday to be exact" I answered honestly and he leaned forward like he wanted to know more.

"I was a mission leader to kill a Vampire that had been threatening our pack. I took a team of five with me and we got the job done, But my father wanted me to be the one to kill him and I did, simple" I rushed out as if it was no big deal which it wasn't.

We stared at each other for a minute and then I leaned in slowly in to kiss him. I had no clue what came over me, his lips just looked so plump and his hair was all wild and he just looked damn good.

I had become more comfortable with him after our hang out last week, I had been here for a whole month and it wasn't that unbearable.

I think I had a crush on Ajax or I was giving in to our mate bond. Maybe a mate wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Jax and I had a lot more in common than I ever thought. We both loved to train and to defeat our enemies. Both of didn't take shit from anyone and recently had learned to not be as tough around each other as we are with other people.

"I want to be apart of your army" I said strongly and he shook his head no

"Why not? I'm strong,and I bet I could beat your strongest man" I let out with a smirk

He raised his eyebrows and looked amused," Is that a challenge?" he questioned and I nodded not backing down

He pulled me in close to kiss me once more and agreed to my challenge,

"If I beat him in a sparring match I can be in your army, I want a high rank position" I said and he laughed and kissed me yet again, He had no Idea what was coming

The people of the pack gathered around us cheering and chanting for who they wanted to win. Most of the 15000 people were for their Friend, Jack, He was around 6'5 250 pounds and was covered in tattoos and he even had one of those cliche scars on his left eye.

a few brave and trusting souls shouted my name.

We met in the middle of the mat "Do.Not. go easy on me because I won't go easy on you" I said with a cocky smirk

"You're on Carmen, First one to get knocked out the ring loses" He bellowed and we shook hands and began to circle each other and growl.

I was an aggressive fighter so I made the first move and lunged at him. He grabbed my shoulder and pushed me back. I caught myself easily and lowered myself to the ground swiftly to sweep his feet. With all his might he stumbled just a bit and I used that and kicked him square In the chest as everyone ooed and ahed.

He came at me kicking me in the knee and flipping me over his body near the edge of the mat. The warriors started screaming for him while he just looked bored and amused. I grunted and took charge yet again.

I punched him in his jaw three times until he caught my fist and jabbed me in the stomach. He looked a little worried that he might've hit me to hard but the sadistic smile on my face said otherwise. I lived to fight, no I live for the pain of it all.

I swiftly raised his arm and flipped him over me much like I did when I first met Jax. I stepped on his ribs with my heavy boot until I heard a crunch and he winced ever so slightly. He pulled my right foot from under me and I fell on my back. He swiveled perpendicular to me and landed a bone crunching kick to my side with so much force I slid to the edge of the mat again. We circled each other gaining composure waiting for more moves to be made.

The crowd was going crazy and I could see Missy and Mack cheering for me crazily. I had had enough of this and was ready to win. I ran at him and jumped on him.

I wrapped my legs around his neck and swung my body under his arms then I twisted my hips as hard as I could until I heard his neck crack and he landed with a thud.

It was silent for a minute as I stood up tall looking at everyone

Then they all screamed with excitement chanting my name and I smirked at Ajax who had a proud expression on his face.

"Welcome your Luna!" Ajax roared and lifted my hand high ,the crowd of at least 15,000 went wild

"Bow to your queen" He used his big alpha voice and they all dropped to one knee all around me

I would be their Queen...
