You and Raph are fiancés and Donnie has a crush on your best friend who's getting married. She changes her mind last minute and realizes she's in love with Donnie and you have to rescue her from her wedding to save romance.
You made a final adjustment to your hair and sighed as you made your way across your bedroom.
Hair? Check.
Dress? Check?
Comfy flat shoes? Check. You thanked your best friend for her gratefulness. She'd gladly chose her bridesmaids and maid of honor to wear comfortable flat shoes opposed to the normal hard-as-a-rock open toed shoes or heels.
There would be no aching feet for you tonight, and you loved her for that.
You were currently on your way for the bridesmaids gathering. It was 3am in the morning, as your best friend wanted an early morning sunrise wedding. The photographer would be there at eight, so you had plenty of time to get there and take plenty of pictures as a group.
The venue was wonderful. The alter would face the late winter sunrise and the pictures should turn out great, the photographer said. The biggest downside of the wedding that it was winter, and at sunrise the grass was wet and it was cold outside.
Your best friend was Anne, a beautiful girl your age with light brown hair and deep honey eyes. She was your friend from preschool and she was getting married to a man she'd known for two years but dated for three months, and she pulled together her whole wedding in two months.
It was fast.
You feared it was because her upbringing.
Her parents were never good to her. They destroyed her self confidence before she even had any, and she firmly believed no one would ever love her and she'd be lucky to have the first man that ever showed her interest.
But she knew Kyle for two years.
It was a shock when she said they were dating, and an even bigger surprise when they announced their engagement. You nearly screamed when she posted the wedding date, but you'd do anything to support her in her big life choices. If this was her happy, you'd have to get over it.
You didn't personally know Kyle. You met him a handful or two of times, but that was all. He had an off vibe about him, and you were honest with Anne about your thoughts. She assured you he was a good guy and you trusted her judgement.
But deep down, you were also very aware that something was wrong about their dynamic.
The way they acted around each other.
Looked at each other, spoke about each other.
It was off.
But who were you to judge?
"Raph, I'm off to meet the other bridesmaids." You were gathering your things in your livingroom, where Raph had settled on watching tv while you got ready.
"So soon?" He looked around for the current time as you turned to give him a look.
"Lots to get together, hun. Will you let me know when you make it home?" You quizzed, watching him stand before you gave him a hug. He nodded, a familiar smirk taking over his lips.
"Only if ya let me know when yer there."
"Of course."
Raph helped you shrug on your jacket and playfully wiggled your toboggan onto your head. "I uh, got somethin' for ya to take with ya." He awkwardly drew out his words. "It's for Anne, it's from Donnie, I don' know, some kinda letter."
